yeah anyone near Manassas looks like they are getting hammered.
Just west of there, but yeah. Hit 3 inches a few minutes ago and have had house shaking thunder for the better part of an hour. I haven't seen anything like this in a LONG time.

There's a big chunk of rain coming up from the SSW on radar. I can actually trust this sort of setup to reach us vs. coming from the West. Unless it finds yet another new way to fail after dark.
I will be surprised if that blob of rain goes higher than I64.

I can't imagine it is going to be very much longer before we start seeing wide spread water restrictions. This summer is going to be fire danger hell.

Nice steady to almost heavy rain in Gainesville.

Up to 0.8 in of rain from this morning and early afternoon just southeast of Gainesville. It has been very nice not having to water the plants much this year.

Got a good downpour happening near Gainesville tonight.

The sun has come out here in western Prince William. It has gotten noticeable more humid.

Probably a B for western Prince William. I got a 9 inch snow and a 7 inch snow. I would have loved to see a huge one but I won't complain about the snow sticking on the ground for near the entirety of January.

Schools in this area continue to be incredibly soft. The 2nd snow day after a storm is forgivable, the 3rd is not.
You clearly have not seen of the sidewalks and streets in some of these neighborhoods. They have not all been cleared and are still extremely icy.

Up to near 10 inches just south of Gainesville.

GFS moving towards the Euro.
This stays out to sea most likely, at worse maybe some swells along the East Coast.
You may want to look at the 12Z and 18Z runs. The Euro caved hard towards the GFS. Florida needs to be concerned about a stalled out tropical system at this point.

Nice little thunderstorm in Gainesville. It's pouring.

How could you even tell with how much worse the air quality was back then?
