  1. As we are due to crest 60 on Sunday here.....I am somewhat optimistic reading this. https://www.severe-weather.eu/long-range-2/january-february-winter-forecast-cold-anomaly-snow-united-states-pattern-fa/
  2. Did my first fall clean up in the yard yesterday. My big oaks are still full of green leaves, but in my 5 years at the house I have never seen so many acorns. Anyone else have this going on? It means big dumps this winter right?
  3. Love that little pocket, especially when we get a dump. It's a great little glade. Like a mini Jay Peak
  4. It's been pretty rough. I was out in Deer Valley last week. Was like being in snow globe for 4 days. Insane skiing.
  5. Same here. It is looking more an more promising. Would be nice to ski at Sundown on some actual real snow
  6. Silver lining for me is if I can't find good snow to ski at least I can disc golf all winter. I don't have the patience to play in the snow.
  7. Our forecast of 1-6" is pretty entertaining on the weather apps. No other industry could give such a broad spread of uncertainty. Our town has already cancelled all events tomorrow
  8. Would love for this run to be accurate. Delivers some good snow and likely cancels the Jack & Jill shower I have to attend for our old nanny.
  9. This is such a welcomed sight. We look to be locked in. Kids are fired up. So is Dad.
  10. Well said! At this point I will take any actual ground coverage that isn't dissipated by dinner time.
  11. Just started snowing in Avon. Thank goodness for the early dismissal.
  12. And suddenly flipping to drizzle here in Avon. I'm about at the base of Avon Mountain.
  13. Same in Avon. Even if this only sticks to the grass. It is just nice to actually see it falling.
  14. My firm's due diligence committee looked at him several times but could never get enough data or make any sense of their strategy. We had thousands of reps asking to put Madoff on our platform and each time the DD decided on not allowing it. Days after the scheme was broken up the DD office was flooded with gifts and lots of praise and thanks from lots and lots of advisors.
  15. Yep. A soggy and gray 45 here. And I found 2 ticks on the dog after our hike.
  16. First time I have ever heard my Uncle who is up in North Tonawanda and a big snow lover say "Enough is enough". He as well is over 100 inches.
  17. HA ! I am just glad I am on the same line as our main fire dept and the police station. I was only out of power for 24 hours in that 2011 storm. Hoping for the same if we lose power with 21 people expected on Sunday.
