  1. Interesting that DC has had only a trace of snow thus far this winter. I recall quite a few model runs showing them in the bullseye for double digit snows. But we've had our share of those as well. Tells you the state of modelology this winter.
  2. All that arctic cold that the GFS was pushing just 24 hours ago has evaporated into thin air. Lately these models are about as useful as the groundhog.
  3. Cohen's relying on the LT GFS will probably prove to have been a mistake. It's like when a bear turns bullish on the stock market..you know the good times are over.
  4. That's for sure, especially when one of the 12z models went to a whiff for the 26th after showing a cutter in the previous run.
  5. Come on, man, lighten up. Didn't you see the "j/k"?
  6. You're sounding like a weenie...just pooh pooh any model that doesn't produce snow. j/k
  7. CMC went from a cutter to a whiff in one run, lol.
  8. Does anyone doubt that hog will call for an early spring this year, lol? Fits the pattern.
  9. And it looks like the Ukie gave up on the 22nd.
  10. Looks like CMC prefers a cutter.
  11. The Para has a much lighter version of what the GFS is smoking.
  12. About all I can say and hope for is that the GFS finally gets a 9-10d right.
  13. We've seen this movie too many times.
  14. Yeah, I hate being in the bullseye at that range.
  15. If you like cold and dry weather.
  16. My son is going with some friends tomorrow to the golf course. Mid Jan and no snow cover, ground not frozen. Sounds like a good idea. Be a bit windy though.
  17. Agreed. You can see it on the 300mb level, too. Unfortunately, we are still looking for that 10d system to materialize.
  18. Let's see if the Euro follows.
  19. Pivotal has issues with the 06z Para snow map, lol.
  20. Actually, I think they went from 12 hr maps to 6 hrs.
  21. Temps there in that run are around -60F.
  22. We have 12 days to get this about 400 mi or so north.
  23. With such little ice cover on the GL, we could be seeing the lake effect snows extending even into March this year.
