  1. Hard for me to imagine a sub-980 LP won't produce the snowfall. I know it's not only about the pressure, but just seems strange.
  2. The model inconsistencies must be why KBUF isn't pulling the trigger on a WSW...
  3. Eww, Seriously, So gross. https://youtu.be/nzkhXMd1d3U
  4. Almost like a hybrid Miller AB... Primary xfers from N Central PA, to the coast. Weird. Doesn't look right to me.
  5. BUF AFD. Slop Storm SYNOPSIS... A storm system advancing out of the Tennessee and Ohio Valleys tonight will produce a slop storm of mixed precipitation tonight and Thursday. There remains a potential for a widespread significant snowfall Thursday night and Friday across much of the area when the system slowly moves to our east. The snowfall will be enhanced southeast of the lakes where major impacts will be possible.
  6. 981 LP over Catskills, 3 hrs later 976 over cape, 3hrs later 971 in gulf of Maine. Almost due east.
  7. Lol, wasn't sure if I was looking at the right model.
  8. Nice to see some headlines for a change...only getting to 33 here, apparently.
  9. Only change to headlines for this first portion of this double barelled event was to extend the winter weather advisory til 23z for the areas from Buffalo to Rochester I like this part...and this (on top of round 1): with upwards towards a foot of snow possible along the southern shoreline of Lake Ontario,
  10. Can someone overlay the temps when that NNE wind and best moisture is working to enhance the snowfall on the S Shore?
  11. Normally this is a dream track for us...not sure why it wouldn't be this time...
  12. I'm hopeful for tomorrow's event as there a nice bit of cold air in place beforehand. This is certainly more helpful that starting with a 45 degree day before the event. We're mid-20s today which will help keep the ground cold - even if the 2m temps rise above freezing temporarily.
