  1. Someone on the Lake Erie shore needs to get a pic of that incoming line!
  2. Looks like the South Shore is going to miss out on the storms. Forming just south.
  3. ...A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 PM EDT FOR EAST CENTRAL DELAWARE COUNTY... At 210 PM EDT, a confirmed tornado was located near Roxbury, or 16 miles west of Hunter, moving southeast at 50 mph. HAZARD...Damaging tornado and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar confirmed tornado. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of east central Delaware County.
  4. If I didn't know any better, I'd say it looks like a little spin-up trying to happen. Should be passing Delhi now. Lots of lightning with that storm as well. Seeing a little green in the 'hook' area.
  5. If you're in Delhi, you may have a great view of it from the West (and safe) side of the storm.
  6. Definitely, that break in coming in and will warm things up quickly...
  7. Agreed. It would be tempting to not do it for a larger check.
  8. I thought you could choose to have taxes automatically deducted from the checks.
  9. Where's the record cold areas in these blocked patterns?
  10. Looks like the teleconnections will support a cool down - makes sense that teh long-range is cooler than normal:
  11. I'm not convinced that our winters have reached a new 'norm.' We just don't seem to be getting good 'alignment' of the teleconnections for the last few. We've had a consistent +NAO for many winters in a row (it seems), which doesn't allow any cold to stick around. It's not like there's no cold air around anymore - all we need is some good blocking. Now, if there's a lack of blocking because of some global changes, then that's a different story, but I don't think that's the case - I could be wrong though.
  12. Looks like the MCS will not hit us, but still talking about elevated storms movig through after midnight. These can be fun!
  13. I think it was meant to force Congress to get something done - while providing some temp relief.
  14. Seem like the potential of an MCS tomorrow night. Could get interesting if we're on the southern side of it...
  15. The first one there seems quite intense. Always wonder if those intense ones would survive on land enough to be called a tornado.
  16. Another 0.5" in 25 minutes! That's almost 4" in 3 days, 3 storms.
  17. Another deluge today...1.75" in 45 minutes. Tropical-like downpour. No hail and little wind this time.
  18. Yeah, this one was pretty close to severe, surprisingly.
