  1. NWS is mentioning "wet" snow for the first storm so I'd go with 8:1. I'd be convinced with the 20:1 for the LE afterwards though. Either way a nice 12"+ over the next 5 days would be nice!
  2. Yup (Kuchera may be accurate in the cold airmass) - about 6" from first storm and 8-10" from LE:
  3. The ratios may get better on the tail end. The 700mb moisture sticks around until hr75. Could be some puffy LE once the winds back.
  4. The 1990s Buffalo team's defense would win the game in the 4th. Let's see how they do now...
  5. Maybe a little thermal troughing as well to help a more NW wind.
  6. I was referring to BUFs discussion. I'll gladly take this as well!
  7. Wow, the DelMarVa might see a blizzard next week...according the GFS. Looks like the 18z NAM is coming along the GFS...
  8. I'll take another one....need to start making up some ground...
  9. Just measured here. 12-13" and that's probably compacted some as we had some breaks with sun earlier.
  10. Hoping the winds stay put for awhile, into a nice band with huge flakes. At least another 2" of fluff so far.
  11. Would love a storm like that. Potential blizzard warning for that one.
  12. Kuchera method more accurate for this event, I think. Maybe even a little lake enhancement for this as well?
  13. Nice little radar site from Channel 9 in SYR that I use for Wayne cty... https://www.localsyr.com/live-radar/
  14. Looks like about 10" or so here...with some bands still to pass through as the winds back, maybe another 1-2" of fluff. Nice event...FINALLY.
  15. And there they are... LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 PM EST THIS AFTERNOON... * WHAT...Heavy lake effect snow. Additional snow accumulations of 3 to 6 inches, with storm total accumulations of 8 to 12 inches in the most persistent snows. Winds gusting as high as 30 mph. * WHERE...Monroe, Wayne, and Northern Cayuga counties. Heavy snow will be localized, occurring in narrow bands.
  16. Band seems to be getting closer to S Shore and reorienting...
