  1. That system may be even more powerful than Tuesday's storm
  2. I just think that's what raindancewx was focusing on. Also there's no guarantee the Jan 15-22 period will produce, and if it doesn't, then it won't til February.
  3. Yes but big cities remain mild and mostly snow free. Even Boston got skunked.
  4. Slim chance the 13th system trends more favorably.
  5. Take into account the MJO lag of about a week puts Jan 15-23 in a favorable period with an unfavorable period right after until MJO gets into more positive phases.
  6. Nam looking quite wild with wind gusts for Tuesday.
  7. And now it's leading to these powerful rainy cutters which are becoming increasingly concerning given recent rains. Very strong winds with saturated ground ain't good either. And finally we'll likely see significant coastal flooding too with new moon nearby.
  8. Which is why the Euro cutting everything has merit still. Very Nina like pattern energized by Nino storminess.
  9. It's a smoothed out mean though. Not a fan of the coast to coast troughing. Would like to see some ridging out west.
  10. How about 3. Euro OP would suck big time.
  11. Strong potential in that timeframe. EPS was very impressive
  12. I buy that. Then things probably get more hostile until February. MJO looks to swing through.
  13. West is where it's at. Been that way for several years now. But we'll get a chance eventually
  14. Pattern has been anything but dry and that won't change.
  15. That storm next week is a beast. Models are actually trending stronger with it. Euro gets down into the 960s with a very strong pressure gradient. I'm thinking 3"+ widespread totals, 60mph+ gusts and possibly major coastal flooding for some due to New Moon. Impacts will be worse due to all the rain we've had.
