  1. And it makes perfect sense but it's also a small system so it could build a core and explode in a hurry too. Regardless it'll be a flooding threat mostly with its rather slow movement.
  2. These storms have had a history of intensifying up until landfall. Models are showing the same but time should run out before it can get much stronger than a minimal hurricane.
  3. Should get a good downpour soon. It's a sauna out there CAPE and shear is pretty high actually right now so more organized convection wouldn't surprise me
  4. Models having a tough time with intensity especially for a relatively small hurricane like Beryl
  5. Good luck dodging rain with dews in the upper 70s
  6. It was only a matter of time. Prolonged dry spells are a thing of the past, or if they happen, they're followed by torrential rains.
  7. I shudder to think what a hurricane would bring if it ever hits us.
  8. Had a big branch snap in front of my house
  9. This season is going to be insane. The only hope is that we see a lot of southern sliders a la 2007.
  10. Southern New England got rocked
  11. What a difference a day makes. Felt cool compared to yesterday with the winds and much lower temps/dews. Right now Wednesday is the only disgusting day but it could also yield severe weather. Hopefully it'll make up for yesterday's bust.
  12. Too many clouds in the area for 100
  13. Finally got good storms. Needed the rain
  14. Very meh. A whole lotta nothing. Tomorrow looks a lot better with strong front and shear
  15. Heat without storms is as useless as cold.
  16. Warmest June on record for some?
  17. And today's not even the warmest day forecast.
  18. At some point we will see 90 nearly every day in the summer so heatwave criteria will need to change.
  19. 90+ is way too common I think heatwave criteria should be 95+ for 3 days or more
  20. I hope we get some good storms out of this then. It's been unusually quiet on that front.
  21. It's still hot down here. 92/93 with dews near 70.
  22. As hot as it'll get here, the real record heat is further north. It's crazy that this will be the last comfortable day until who knows when.
  23. Thinking all this early heat will juice up ssts and provide a lot of energy for the tropics. Think mid-late summer (August-September) becomes very active.
  24. Unless they're at the pool or beach it's a dead zone outside at those temperatures. Hell people don't even go to the beach when it's that hot because the sun bakes them.
  25. Temps should be able to overperform given relatively dry conditions and lower dews. I would add 2-3 degrees to the forecast. Peak sun angle too.
