Should get a good downpour soon. It's a sauna out there CAPE and shear is pretty high actually right now so more organized convection wouldn't surprise me
-
Good luck dodging rain with dews in the upper 70s
-
It was only a matter of time. Prolonged dry spells are a thing of the past, or if they happen, they're followed by torrential rains.
-
I shudder to think what a hurricane would bring if it ever hits us.
-
Had a big branch snap in front of my house
-
Southern New England got rocked
-
What a difference a day makes. Felt cool compared to yesterday with the winds and much lower temps/dews. Right now Wednesday is the only disgusting day but it could also yield severe weather. Hopefully it'll make up for yesterday's bust.
-
Too many clouds in the area for 100
-
Finally got good storms. Needed the rain
-
Very meh. A whole lotta nothing. Tomorrow looks a lot better with strong front and shear
-
Heat without storms is as useless as cold.
-
Warmest June on record for some?
-
And today's not even the warmest day forecast.
-
At some point we will see 90 nearly every day in the summer so heatwave criteria will need to change.
-
90+ is way too common I think heatwave criteria should be 95+ for 3 days or more
-
I hope we get some good storms out of this then. It's been unusually quiet on that front.
-
It's still hot down here. 92/93 with dews near 70.
-
As hot as it'll get here, the real record heat is further north. It's crazy that this will be the last comfortable day until who knows when.
-
Thinking all this early heat will juice up ssts and provide a lot of energy for the tropics. Think mid-late summer (August-September) becomes very active.
-
Unless they're at the pool or beach it's a dead zone outside at those temperatures. Hell people don't even go to the beach when it's that hot because the sun bakes them.
-
Temps should be able to overperform given relatively dry conditions and lower dews. I would add 2-3 degrees to the forecast. Peak sun angle too.
