Icon stopped the bleeding and had slight north expansion

Holds and Expanded precip more north.

Don’t think I’ve ever seen a storm rapidly fall apart like this within this day 3 time frame.

GFS was not that bad in the last storm. It nailed the heavy snow band and had QPF right. It was just unfortunate that instead of snow it was a pretty bad ice storm for most of us. Trends look fine for this storm imo. Instead of a north trend we lee getting a deamp trend but it still is a nice snowstorm either way. Could easily tren back to a larger storm.

Wow! High wind warning for tomorrow! Pretty rare, and with the ground saturation cant be good.

This ended up being quite the eventful ice storm. I measured .20” of ice but it looks like more in taller trees.

Yea we beat the dry slot and got it a little colder then forecasted. But cant beat the sleet. Although, just got a burst back to heavy snow here.

Haha! This storm just feels different. GFS only shows a death band like that for some big storms.

HRRR has a much earlier start tomorrow , which I think is a huge plus for the snowier model runs. Radar returns look healthy and south to me with most of the action in Tennessee vs Kentucky, even some returns in N. Alabama. I’ve been pessimistic about this threat all week but I like where we’re at now especially with the banding potential. And cold seems to be winning as @wasnow215mentioned.
