Koepka is an athletic football player playing golf, sky’s the limit there. I like watching anyone really, so many young guys are capable of playing out of their minds. The sport is in great shape and good for the youth. I hope my kids take interest when they are ready.

Good for the game when the young studs fight off a legend (whether you like him or not). He will win at least one more major, health permitting. Finau is my guy, though, he won me heeps of money last season but his quick swing makes me cringe at times.

The Genesis field is stacked. Looks like a great early season tourney unfolding for the weekend.

Well done getting the handi down. Some early years I felt like I would never get this game down but then, when I put in the time and check my ego as well....hit the range only, watch videos, etc. I have improved last 3 years. I haven’t officially done my handi but my new app tracks my scores, It has me at 12 after 38 rounds. Not sure how accurate it is though. But basically on good days I can get into the low 80s and those awful days where I can’t get all phases working like this winter, I push 90. I did make some big improvements with my body movement at the range in the fall, but haven’t played a round yet....hoping I see the results in the spring. Can’t come soon enough.

Course dependent but yes, in general, it’s hard. I know it’s boring to beginners but I’d recommend the range only for the first 50,000 shots (if that takes you one summer or lomger) mixed in with some lessons or youtube videos if you don’t want to spend the money.

I have and agree. Obviously short game is vital but if you can’t get off the tee, you get yourself in trouble early....then the rest doesn’t matter. You’ll be six shots to the green and by then, you’re too frustrated to even concentrate on it.

Will be a great season in general. They reshuffled the tourney schedule, moving the back half of the majors up.

Most athletic folks either have played before or play somewhat regularly when time allows. There’s too big of a sample size in this massive region for it to be a 2 man club. Edit: Garth is on standby with his son being his caddy.

Yea, was thinking more region specific though for potential outings or a needed tee time bud. No worries, just delete this then mods.

I haven’t seen something like this around here so I’ll start one up. If it’s been done before without success, we try again. If someone else owns the rights like the lawn thread, lick deez golf balls. This thread is for all golfers, any gender, no matter your level. We can discuss this beautiful game, brag or cringe about our scores, show pictures of the putter we just threw into the pond, and everything else this game is about. Also, I always play solo so maybe this thread can be a good way for the occassional small gtg for a round...or if you’re just looking for a playing partner. Whatever. Have at it.

I believe as well. Even the previous storm the guy in ridgefield ct had a ruler pick of 23” but being how temps were marginal through the entire event, it was probably closer to 30”. You have to wonder how much snow really fell in Mar 1888 then.
