  1. Yea. I have to clean the toilet bowls with a rust remover. The kid’s bathtub has little dark sand like particles leftover around the drain after each bath. I had a guy check the system, said everything was fine. Said to just keep using water softener the water in town is just bad but I don’t know if it’s that simple.....thinking of getting a second opinion. Well water blows.
  2. I’ll get my bro to come up from NJ one weekend to get the bigger ones down. You’re right though, I won’t rush it and just tackle one here or there eventually. There’s so many projects I want to do I have to tell myself to be patient, can’t get them all done at once.
  3. Just a solid spring day to either get some yardwork done or spend time with the fam on the deck grilling food watching the kids and dogs play on a nice freshly cut lush lawn.
  4. If you lifted weights to gain muscle you wouldn’t sweat during a coc 75/63 day.
  5. What a stretch. Past 3 days been sweet and more on the way. Nice call.
  6. I can’t get rid of the silt with my water. Let me know if you find a solution.
  7. Love those snakes. Have two on the property. They keep the mice at bay.
  8. Growing up, summers were a mixed bucket of sort. You had hot and dry stretches turning the grass brown by July 4th and others were a bit more stormy with hot and cooler stretches....but rarely do I recall so much persistent humidity and rain like last year. To me, it was anomalous and not a typical summer. I don’t see that happening again this season or for many to come.
  9. I’ll be fine with that. We can’t handle another monsoon summer where it rains every evening and mornings are cloudy drizzle. There was a couple hour window around lunch where the sun poked thru when everyone was stuck in the office. People who have no clue about weather have said they hope this summer doesn’t rain as much as last.
  10. Then we may agree here. I still don’t see the war establishing itself like last summer though, we’ll see.
  11. Stop following Cranky. Your boy is awful, makes your visions hallucinate.
  12. 68/52 here. nice back to back days.
  13. Climate models continue to show ridging over sw us and tx during peak summer, as our centre has been forecasting since April. This is good news for folks who like their warm months to not be overly oppressive nor swampy. A good ole fashioned summer incoming, enjoy it.
  14. I will aerate and seed in the fall myself but other than that, I let the service do the work. It’s only my second growing season here but a huge difference from last year when I applied it myself. Money well spent imo.
  15. I actually find it cheaper to go with a good service vs buying tons of bags and doing the labor yourself. I pay $75 x 5 this season and they come back free of charge if weeds or crabgrass pop up. If I did all the ‘steps’ myself I would pay more than $400 for the season. I’ve also freed myself to do other landscaping projects that I otherwise would not have the time to do...cuz I’d be constantly worrying about doing my lawn care, when to apply, 1hr roundtrip drive to the store, etc etc.
  16. I want to cut so many trees on my property but would deff need help. Anything close to the house needs to go plus we are heavily wooded that shades the grass in many areas causing excess of moss. Not to mention how it breeds ticks. We were lucky none of the close trees fell on the house when the EF1 struck last May. The downside of our 1.7 acres, woods...wish it was all or mostly lawn/grass.
  17. By the time it grows, she’s gone.
  18. Any attempt at the war moving west just gets smacked in the face. Summer dews are far away.
  19. Same issue here in the 115 range. Flushed several gap wedges and overshot the green each time....and because I have subpar long distance vision I was always surprised walking up the green it wasn’t on. Now I know to hit the 54 degree wedge next time and push the gap to 130-135.
  20. Anyone have experience/feedback on the Ryobi 40V trimmer (weed wacker)?
  21. Fading me breaking 80 was the right bet. Shot a 86. Tee to green was on point, for the most part, but I shat myself on the greens. When you hit a mid iron within 5 feet on 2 occasions and fail to make birds....and 3 put bogey in 4 spots....theres you break 80 hopes go right down the drain.
