  1. Those higher mins keep driving the decadal normals higher and they’ll keep heading that way…but hey, it’s all cyclical apparently.
  2. Yea just had a downpour and now some rumbles.
  3. I was not but I still count it as if I was lol just from an area standpoint. But yea, since 2011 which includes October, we’ve had good but not those great/upper echelon with several busts and letdowns. We do storms and floods really well though. Yesterday was surreal and though our house is situated in a good spot one weenie may want more…I still wouldn’t want to experience it again. Our friends may have to tear down their house and rebuild or move. It didn’t look like it was salvageable. Their home’s propane tank is gone so is all their outdoor equipment including their grill which means the water was up to their second floor since they have a raised ranch where their deck is two steps down from the kitchen on the second floor. Crazy.
  4. All from slow moving/training rains too. Mind boggling.
  5. The first pic are what used to be tennis courts. The parking lot is about 25yds away to the left so the suv was swept away pretty good.
  6. I wish I could show more but I walked around and you can see how the runoff came off the hills into lower areas formed a river and raged towards downtown.
  7. Wow. Surreal damage just down the hill from me. Friends had to be evacuated on southford rd.
  8. 8.05” yesterday with just 0.02” since midnight. Never did anyone in this area think as of 10-11am yesterday that a big rainer was possible. It wasn’t until I had over an inch around lunchtime did I bother to check what the heck was going on radar. I hope folks who really got destroyed never see this again in their lieftimes. Coc’s and droughts can come soon enough…
  9. Yea mine is dry. Live on a good piece of elevated property. With that said, lost power 20min ago and we easily lose power around these parts…
  10. 7.82” today as we prepare for round 2 now. Hopefully this stuff is more progressive but adding any more water at this point is awful.
  11. The atmosphere is increasingly more chaotic which negates some technological advancements imo.
  12. Wow. That’s the worst one yet. I was going to head down to take pics but I’ll adhere to the FFE.
  13. I get that At a high level but we’ve had flood watches that fail from synoptics events while today is causing loss of property and life without a single word of potential flooding before the rain got going. Not one. I’m not blaming them but to act like this isnt a public bust for a fairly populated zone is also being disingenuous.
  14. Eh. Nws had .1-.25 as of 10am this morning with locally more in t storms. I guess locally stretches that range to 10”….
  15. Yea that’s a mile down the hill from me. It’s the lowest point downtown so all the runoff funnels there. I’ve never seen it like this before though.
  16. 5.35” here but by the time I am done typing this post, i’ll probably be at 5.50”.
