    Just heard frightening rumble, must have been a nearby tree coming down - still have power and it did not hit the house, so much relieved - but certainly nowhere near over yet…

    Not much in the way of wind in this section of Litchfield County (so far, anyway), but the turn to the NW was expected to bring rain here, and sure enough that’s happening… (Washington Depot, near the town of Litchfield)

    That tornado warning in NJ was just based on radar but not observers?

    OK, after watching the heavy stuff pass to my north and then to my south, this area just got warned - radar shows a beeline from there (with hail, no less) to here. Will Mt. Tom deflect this one like it seemingly has all of the others in recent days? Guess I’ll have to stay tuned to find out. Is the red green mixture in the super res velocity plot (New Milford one and also upper NW one) the rotation you’re describing?

    It looked worse on the radar and lightning map than it was IRL Hit with a big gust of wind, few heavy downpours, brief power glitch, then took its leave. Enjoyed it nevertheless…

    Looking out to the west, the lightning bugs are furiously flickering as the actual lightning slowly makes its approach… (Litchfield County, CT)

    It was pretty intense short burst of thunder and pouring rain through here, then quiet... The fireflies are now out in force.

    Yep, just heard thunder in midwest Litchfield county along with a brief burst of raindrops - radar shows blossoming rain showers... (looks like a string of pearls) - I’m happy...

    Interestingly, the WX Underground forecast for NW CT shows chance of thunderstorms on Wed for each hour from 8 AM through 2 PM, which seems to be a bit earlier than the late Wednesday afternoon and early evening "pre-game" show timing mentioned above.

    A flurry of flurries reaching the ground now in southwestern Litchfield County (Washington Depot) - elevation is about 750 feet - temp is 35 degrees

    All snow here now, even see the beginnings of it accumulating on the grass and tree branches...

    Heavy, wet flakes coming down, but mixed with heavy, wet raindrops. 35 degrees here. Mid- to southern Litchfield county - a few towns south and west of Goshen, probably slightly lower elevation.

    While the real-time lightning strike map shows furious activity all around me, I'm not actually seeing any flashes - low, continuous thunder in the background, heavy downpour, wind not so strong...
