    Got lucky with a break in the clouds and caught only one meteor but a pretty good one. There was a better probability on the other side of the Atlantic so c'est la vie.

    Cold continues to rule through the 10 day. Mild second half of November a big fail, might be a top 10 cold November when it's wrapped up just stunning really.

    Yes and around a long time before he retired a couple years ago. But he returns for guest appearances on Weather World I have watched them so long JB was a student met in the 80's.

    Paul Knight indicated a cold first week of December then mild the rest of the month, which is my worst fear. There are indicators of colder than normal weather late this month entering December. If we end up "using" all the cold air and then it retreats to the other side of the globe for a full month of actual winter this dude is going to be peeved.

    Weather World Paul Knight winter forecast is mild wet December, cold snowy January, and milder wet icy February. Sounds like 2011 outside of icy February and he likes it milder at holiday time?

    Incredibly we almost do the record cold again this weekend only that cold slab a tad to the north.

    Just a few days off with the snow and near the same level of record cold air mass only difference is the core cold struck the mid west and south harder this time and has a more NE trajectory as it exits. Any mathematicians in the house what are the odds of this in back to back Novembers love to know.

    Cosgrove thinks a milder than normal remainder of November after the arctic shot through mid December at least. MJO supports it but -AO is a conflicting signal for the mildness the remainder of the month should prove interesting. Most likely a normal average from mid month the next 30 days with significant short lived cold shots.

    NYC in jeopardy of breaking the record for it's earliest below 20F reading and 32F max temperature next week. Mind blowing...and numbing
