Fwiw the Ukie still wraps a band of heavy snow through the heart of the region only moved a little NE with it(still screws the eastern crowd but manages to hit central S Jersey, hello last winter lol)

Have to remember these Miller B gems for New England often under perform in forecasted snow on the SW flank, worse the further you go. .

12z ECM NW of yesterday's which is looking like one errant mid range blip it often did that last winter. 90% of the time these Miller B's that hit New England the snow maps are too generous in the SW quadrant, food for thought.

Ukie makes up for all the years Monmouth county was jack potting in one storm yes it's that absurd.

It is a bad setup too many things can go wrong. Real skeptical about the ECM too last year it had a number of fails in the medium range.

The ECM CMC today all of a sudden have a building arctic high forcing everything south thus the miracle solution.

Drastic shift south on the ULL low on the 12z ECM and you get a look like the ridiculous GFS fantasy maps two days ago lol. Now i have seen everything gonna call this a phantom run cannot trust a miller B we almost always get burned.

Gone be a decent winter if this kinda storm track repeats but sagged south a few hundred miles.

Everything suppressing just far enough south to tease this region before New England gets a post Turkey blast from yore. Miller B's are from the devil.

0z GFS does some hilarious Whack-A-Mole thing with popping low pressure off the coast. It's off Atlantic city, the benchmark, Boston, south again,now it's over there.

The primary into the lakes in early December is always going to be majority rain for us. Why people are falling for errant runs of the snow happy GFS I don't know. Those GFS runs showing a secondary forming and moving southeast were lol. Now later in the season you get a mixed bad situation that is better further north.

Yes it's the 384 GFS subject to change in two hours but this would be the worst look for winter ever, tennis anyone lol * Important caveat though guidance was horribly, terribly wrong for November

Glass half empty and someone took a drink from it and left their partial sunk at the bottom Tried positive last year and it went two bagger ugly. Isotherm, Hurricane and Weather World see a mild December let's see how it shakes out.

I AM ALL IN though let's do this GFS, cuz last years worst ever for me wasn't bad enough 3" with 20" 18 miles to the west is the perfect way to get the season rolling.

Hey Ralphie that is 10-15" over or near 50% above average snow for Philly. He cloned last winter but added more snow. Entertaining video by the cane.
