Looking back into CT I'm getting really concerned if we get a repeat of what we just had over night. I'm up high so no problem for me but Where I have to drive through to get to work tomorrow morning isn't going to be fun unless I take the long route which is about 17 miles longer. Another 4 to 5 inches on top of what we already had and I will take the longer route.

I have an Ambient weather 2902 connected to meteobridge. I also set up a few old fashion rain gauges in my back yard to compare against the weather station rain gauge. The weather station is set up without anything around it and level. The weather station was .15 off from the 2 tube rain gauges. The meteobridge allows for correction in the router software. The weather station is now within .01 of the other 2 rain gauges.

I'm in Cranston about a quarter mile east of 295. KRICRANS8 on Wundermap. I'm at 3.65 right now. Flash flood warning popped up on my phone about 10 minutes ago. The 3.65 is since 1:00. I don't know where the 5" in Cranston is! Looking at all the weather stations on Wundermap I don't see anything above 4" all across Cranston. Hope it's not going to do this into sunrise tomorrow. We'll be close to 10" and have major flooding!

My sister in law lives in Walden. We were there a few weeks ago. Take a right at Joe's pond to get there.

it seems to be dying quick not far to my west

There's a line building in CT from the MA border to the coast. If they hold together.

Holy downpour batman. Picked up an inch in 20 minutes. 3:29 to 3:49. 1.81 for the day and 1.23 yesterday. We were on the edge of storms all morning then mid afternoon boom made it into a good one finally. August far from a dry month now.

1.23" over here in Cranston, RI. .5 between 5:00 and 5:30. July was the 3RD driest on record here .44 all month. August was heading in the same direction .42 until todays rain.

Went to bed at 11:30 and checked snow at 6". Getting ready for work. Just went out to check. A tad shy of 8 1/4" and snowing harder than at any point since it started. Probably 2" an hour for about 20 minutes. Local mets said 2 to 4 more towards the coast and southeast MA.

It literally looks like moisture being dumped into just that area fans out a little then dries up as it heads south. -

Man that heavy band over central MA just won't quit. Looked to be moving into RI with authority but keeps drying up when it gets just south of the border. It's even starting to intensify with yellow starting to show up along 495. -

Joe were on the other side of the city from me. I'm 3/4 of a mile east of 295 and 1/2 a mile from the Johnston line. The double yellow separates Cranston and Johnston. You go up dah pike your in Johnston come down dah pike your in Cranston. You can see me on Wundermap. KRICRANS8. This whole storm I was riding the edge of the death band. Only about 5 miles out to the west it was mostly light to moderate snow. -

It's legit. I lived it. Went to bed thinking it was over. Storm did a loop over Cape Cod and dumped another 18 inches. When I woke up I couldn't believe what I was seeing. There were no swirls around the cars. Snow packed in the engine compartments and was pretty much level with the cars. Drifts up to 20 feet on some roads. Whether it was all QPF or some that blew in from the next town there was 3 feet of snow on my street. Woonsocket where my in laws live they had 54" Woonsocket is only 20 miles north of me. -

Yes it does. If this would've captured earlier and slowed it would've made a run at it. I'll be 61 in a few weeks. All the big storms since the 78 blizzard it has been said many times, that was a big storm but doesn't compare to the 78 blizzard. I had 3 feet of snow on the street I'm at now. It was my parents at the time. It took a 5 yard payloader to clear the street. Even that thing started to spin tires after pushing up a 20 foot pile of snow. Driver would back up floor it and smash the pile into someone's lawn. 4 days before they cleared the street. Don't think I'll see that again in my life time. -

You can add the heated hand grips. Last time I looked when I bought mine it was $79 or $89 dollars. Mine came with them. Was looking for a friend when I bought mine. Just looked now. $153.59. Outrageous!!! -

They're awesome! I bought a Cub Cadet 3 X 26 3 years ago with heated grips. They're more than adequate. You feel the heat coming through your gloves even on a day like this! Don't know how old your machine is but you may be able to buy a set and add them. I know you can buy them for Cub Cadet machines that came without heated grips. -

Had a problem with the carb on mine because someone that looks like me left gas in it. The float bowl had a lot of gunk in it. Main jet was about 60% clogged. Was easy to take the jets out without removing the carb. 30 minutes to take the 2 jets out and clean. Now I don't have to run it with the choke on. I bought extra shear pins because I read reviews that these things break shear pins. Plowed through 14 inches of paste the first year and have yet to break a shear pin. Was throwing heavy wet snow a good 30 feet. -

I have the same snow blower. Heated grips and power steering. It's a beast. Bought 3 years ago and not sorry I did!
