  1. When I measure the snowfall in every storm, my measurement only 3 miles from Milestone off 355 is higher than others in Germantown! to others, it seems like I am fudging my numbers! All my career I have dealt with numbers and mathematical modeling/algorithms and I always double checking my numbers to make sure it is accurate but still it goes higher.
  2. I have lived in Upper Montgomery County for more than 30 years, this storm "the never-ending snowfall" is better than the one we had in 2003 and for than matter the 80's and the 1994(Sleet-fest).
  3. Clarksburg, 12:55PM SN- based on the radar the current very narrow bands over Clarksburg and Germantown is backfilling all the way in central PA!!
  4. Yes I am approaching 9" but your absolutely correct, elevation here is over 650' and that might be the reason in most storms Clarksburg gets bigger totals than Germantown. Although today you and I are both under the non-ending bands.
  5. in NW Clarksburg I am approaching 9"!! just incredible. Based on the radar, you should get close to 7" in Neelsville area
  6. I am so glad your area in Germantown is under that persistent band. In Clarksburg this band since early morning hours is just back-filling! I remember Jan 2016 we had over 31" and my colleague lived 5 miles down the road had 25". We all were following the standard guidelines when measured the snow every 6 hours and yet I had 31" but not as much few miles down the road.
  7. Clarksburg This morning and yesterday early evening hours pictures.
  8. I can confirm that in Clarksburg. The current persistent band will put Clarksburg well within 8" - 10" should it continue today. this is truly incredible. I do not fully understand the physics behind it but seems like the upper layers over 850 has cooled off significantly.
  9. Clarksburg 7:20 AM SN This is one for the textbooks
  10. Clarksburg, 7:00AM SN- it is incredible. I picked up another 1.3" since 8:00PM Monday!!! total will be tallied later in the evening tonight.
  11. It is confirmed. we are under a very heavy snow right now.
  12. Clarksburg, 5:40PM SN+ just passed additional 2" mark since this morning and the intensity just picked up. this is truly a big surprise.
  13. Clarksburg, 4:15pm SN+ beautiful out there. This storm is so localized. Germantown folks are not getting the rates we have been getting since 1:00pm or so!
  14. Based on the radar, FRK and MOCO is in great spot for the next yellow wave.
  15. Clarksburg, 2:35pm SN added 1" to my total since 11:30am with this rates I should have no problem getting another 2" to 4" by early evening.
  16. check the radar, Germantown and the entire upper MOCO will be joining the fun any minute
  17. I am not sure how far your location is from Clarksburg heights. We have flipped to moderate accumulating snow here. I hope folks in Germantown joins the party soon.
