  1. Now you need a last week of April to early may snowfall pic. It’s like filing out a state quarter board check it off the list
  2. And we will all forget about it until once we torch next month. But insane nonetheless snow followed by melt. Still room for #2 perhaps?
  3. In a plot twist watch this thing go further south as the trend has been this winter and we somehow get some more concrete style wet snow
  4. That is true. I know our rivers and creeks over here and still running high and it’s not heavy rain season yet. I also don’t want the rouge in canton to flood again that was a mess in end of itself lol
  5. Knowing our luck we will get sleet first week of may. I’ll take winter thru March but after that bring in the warmth
  6. It would not surprise me to see this on the upper Mississippi River basis and all the local rivers that feed into it. The snowpack is there and still a month or more of snow. If we end up having a wet stormy spring it definitely concerns me for major flooding. Ground is getting more saturated by the day. Back in 2019 I went to Winfield MO to volunteer and sandbag because I have family not far from there. Crazy how powerful that river is and seeing the water lines in Alton IL of the 93 flood and seeing the 2019 one only a couple feet away was chilling. I hope for a gradual warm up into spring
  7. Can see the next band about to rotate thru here soon
  8. A nice snow band moving thru downriver now
  9. Sir Trainee reports as ordered (snaps too) looks like a nice wrapped up storm for sure. It’s great to be in an active stretch
  10. I upgrade this winter from a 82.5% to 86% I’m very pleased thus far. And the warm spells make it easier to work outside so all in all a good winter and still trending up for my final grade in about a month
  11. As I always say the sun has to shine of the dogs ass at some point
  12. Exactly. Some of my favorite types of storms are training events when they just keep redeveloping right over you
  13. Our squall line will happen sooner or later. One day we all will be waking up over SE mich with a derecho on our doorsteps as ALEK has alluded
  14. Pines look beautiful. Got lighter in rates but working outside I’m okay with that. I got 4.2” with some compacting going on here on the SW side of riverview
  15. Random question. Is it a good idea to do the skywarn class to become a spotter/observer?
  16. Good amount of snow on these lines now starting to cause some tension
  17. First pic today. Near my job site looking south down the Detroit river
  18. I’m in woodhaven now and I can say it’s about the same. Can’t wait to go to the woods for some pics. I agree something about waking up to a winter wonderland brings the kid out in us
  19. I’m going to be downriver today by some wood areas so I’m excited to get some good ones too! Hope you got to enjoy last week on your trip up here
  20. It’s coming down pretty good. Going to be cool riding into work today. I’ll have some good pics in a few hours when I’m at my job site. Glad this one had less of a wind factor in it
  21. Reminds me when I was in Missouri a few years ago in April for a couple months. One day it hit 90 and I got a light sunburn. Has severe storms that night and 28 hours after it hit 90 it was 29 with a snow shower. Made me grateful for the big lakes around me
  22. I hope you guys get hit this time and not just DTW to the north. Definitely spread the wealth around
  23. What will be the replacement for those models? Any good reading I can do?
