Unfortunately this winter just does not want to produce a real snow storm(Warning Event) for SNE. That's a tough feat to pull off all season....futility at it's best. I think my 17 plus inches currently is going to be it for this winter. The ingredients just aren't there to produce even a decent event this year. A True Ratter.
It's amazing not even 1 winter storm warning here or a storm which produced 2-4 inches.
Worst winter that I ever experienced.

About 55”. Over 2 feet below normal. Not to mention with frequent warm ups we can never hold on to a snowpack for more than a few days. This is easily the worst winter since 11-12.
Normal is around 90 ?
I only have 3 inches here in NYC lol
The only area that is doing well is northern Maine.

Forecast was for 3-7” overnight, got about an inch. What a joke. They closed schools for this? Lmfao. This is Buffalo,NY. What a bunch of wussies society has become. Good call Dave from Roc who said this storm was gonna be weak sauce synoptically for WNY. So ready for spring it’s not even funny.
How much snow do you have on the season ?

We need a Spring thread. Winter and snow is about over. Maybe about 50 acres of Tug hill and Chautaqua ridge see measurable snow from here on out but that's about it. Its loser central to expect much else.
Syracuse still received over 70 inches. I would be happy if I even got half of that amount.

Here is a webcam from the tughill if anyone is interested. I will be watching this when the lake effect kicks in.

Any threat will have to be within 3 days to be taken seriously this year. If we get something, it's likely by the 10th, once the torch returns it's over.
What torch lol

Very impressive deep dive on the PNA coming up along with the expected adjustment on the AO index. currently moving back up in the extended after a rather feeble attempt at neutral.
The long lasting AO positive trend shows no indication of reversing as does the very strong vortex.
AO is going to finally drop
