The forecast for the winter of 2010-2011 by many meteorologists were for a warm winter. The warm pattern did happy in February but the blocking really helped from December to end of January .

Hopefully I get to see a 100 inch winter in my lifetime but most likely I would have to move to see that .

I had 62 inches for that winter. Too bad blocking fell apart in February because the 1995-1996 record for NYC could have been broken.
