Was never so happy to see sleet yesterday morning. Neighbors to the North in Ulster County are not so lucky. Time to start looking at ways to deal with the failing infrastructure. Burying all lines sounds good, but would be an extremely painful slow, and very expensive process. Option two. Clear cut trees below power lines levels to help reduce these power loss risks. Where I visit Florida, all power lines do not have a tree or tree branch in any distance

I know way out of range. But anyone else see the 3k Nam , and other mesos on TT struggle to get snow north of NYC? Are they picking up on the due north dry winds coming down the hudson?

Lmao Saturday storms are way less stressful. Everyone's home. Also no worst feeling working a 7-330 normal shift, for it to start snowing at 3pm. Work all through the night, clean up by 10, only to get stuck until 330pm to finish out your normal shift. Up for 36 hours straight is no fun multiple times a year

Haha no. We don't have a plow down rule like NYS does. We can run salt without plows. My 10foot Boss V plow is $1200 for a blade, and they last maybe 3 storms.

I hope my area gets fringed with 3-6 inches. And areas southeast and north east get smoked just to give most people their storm. I'll take that, with a Saturday "taxpayers" storm is what we call it. Easy 15 hours OT

I remember doing striped bass fishing on the Hudson April 2010. Very hot one day

Because snow in March sucks. Well snow in general sucks. Bring on the warm and sunny days. More fun things to do

Busted on the high side here. Enough snow that it was plowable. Probably 2-3 inches

About 4 inches here. Pushed off the roads then put some salt down. Got home 530 am.. Phone rings at 7. Rain washed away the salt, and the ground is still super cold, huge layers of black ice covering 100% of the roads. Absolute nightmare getting back into work, also got my salt truck stuck going up an incline, finally got my way out after 15 minutes

I would love to move to Florida. Damn jobs suck down there compared to what I have here. My wife could easily find a great paying job though

Lol NAM past two runs barely even has me getting 1 inch of snow under "total positive snow depth" under TT here in eastern Orange County on the Hudson River Edit. And barely an inch on the Kuchera on Pivotal

I remember being a kid in these storms. We would have 4 of us friends shovel out a football field at his grandmas yard. Play football for a few hours and ultimately turned to sleet and then rain. Seemed like every storm did that here too in orange County

Way more activities to do outside. So boring staying inside when you're not a skier or snowboarder

Me. Cold is stupid. Days are short. Can't do much outside. Season goes by the slowest out of all 4

Terrible

Is there blocking? Still a decent amount in western NY

Dusting here. Another OT call to do a quick pass on roads dropping salt. Automatic 4 hour call out. Maybe even do it again overnight, which would be double time for holiday. Just this week alone I can buy myself a new golf driver just from OT

Called into work at 1230 for icing conditions, especially higher elevations. Got back home at 3am. Sleep deprived, with a covid booster shot yesterday, going back to work not feeling 100%. Lets see if I make it to 330

Went outside in flip flops to start car to warm up. Toes got cold instantly. Yes I don't have remote start in the year 2021 on my 2014 model
