  1. Back when I was fresh out of college in the mid 2000's I used to work at a fine dining restaurant called Haydn Zugs in East Petersburg. Place was top notch -- all pewter place settings, hand-polished silverware and glasses, replace tablecloths and candles at every turn of a table, fancy fold the napkin every time customer gets up, crumb between courses (which some people find weird haha), etc. There was nothing better than when we'd have one of our private rooms rented out for a high-end corporate party or something of the like and they'd leave behind loads of half-drank $100+ bottles of wine. Let's just say the staff would have a good time on those nights haha. Everyone should have to work in a restaurant at least once.
  2. Low of 72. Hoping for some good storm activity this evening. After today, CTP has me at 90 or above every day in the forecast period.
  3. Low of 66. Do my eyes deceive me or does MDT actually have a chance to finish July with a mean temp below 80? May have to do some calculations later. August looks to start hot. We were out kind of towards @ChescoWx yesterday at a birthday party a couple miles south of Honey Brook. Between the ultra rural nature of the surroundings and the elevation (we were up at ~800'), the temp was a good 3-5 degrees lower than even the rural stretches of the Old Philadelphia Pike, going through Bird-in-Hand, Intercourse, White Horse, and the like. Beautiful drive but man were the buggies out in full force on a Sunday, must have passed 50 of 'em.
  4. Crisp low of 58. It appears the nice nights are over for the foreseeable future.
  5. Really is a beautiful day. Probably gonna build a fire tonight. Might be the last cool night for a minute.
  6. Another low of 60 here. Currently a splendid 64/57. Great weekend of summer weather ahead.
  7. Low of 60. Currently a refreshing 66/58. Taking the boy on the boat for the first time ever today and should be absolutely perfect weather. Happy Friday, all!
  8. Low of 70 with .48” of glorious H2O. A couple of beautiful days on tap, it would seem.
  9. I believe it. That was that cell I mentioned earlier that just wouldn’t move. Figured someone had to be getting the goods.
  10. Had some cells trace over me to the tune of about a half an inch. Much more just to my south. Good stuff.
  11. It may not be widespread, but the 12z 3k NAM and the latest HRRR are still insistent on bringing some stuff through later today into the evening. As always, we shall see.
  12. Low of 72 and .04” of overnight rainfall. Looks like a solid shot at cashing in later today for some of us.
  13. Yes! At two different locations. Sad, I know haha. As you can imagine, the prices are fair
  14. I have the boy at Dutch Wonderland today with another buddy and his kid. Glorious day. We are currently drinking Dogfish 60 Minute at Dukes Lagoon water park. Whoopsy.
  15. Low of 68 and storm total rainfall of .26”. Was I the big loser in here yesterday?
  16. Agreed. No winning over here though. Things split around me yet again in an almost unimaginable way. A couple miles over the hill everything was soaked when I picked my son up from summer school. Over here, another rounded-up .01” ha.
  17. Low of 72 here with .01” of rain from that anomaly last night. Currently 78/71 and praying to the rain gods for this week to come through.
  18. It really was similar to that. Just completely out of the blue. Nothing in the forecast and nothing to really trigger the event. Just pure localized randomness. Weather, man.
  19. It’s been fascinating to behold. Not sure I’ve ever seen anything quite like it. I’m right in the middle of those two cells and while nearly stationary, each has been moving ever so slightly exactly opposite from one another. The western one moving SW and the eastern one moving NE. It was stunning to watch the radar loop as I got shafted to the tune of .01”.
  20. I’m working on it as we speak haha. Just need to find ways to wear them out. Have some things lined up.
