I'm on the fence for Sunday but once we get confirmation that the NAVGEM and JMA are on board I'll be all in.

Low of 15. Glad to see some increased potential for Sunday, albeit still a long way from settling things. Today's potential perhaps a little less robust but most of us should still see enough to whiten things up for a bit. Should see flakes flying prior to lunch.

18z HRRR says many of us are in for a coating to an inch tomorrow, perhaps a good bit more for our western and northern friends.

Au contraire Carlise! I made a few comments just yesterday on the 540 line dipping to the Gulf, the extreme 850s over the Commonwealth, and the daily min records at MDT for Mon thru Wed. Bitter cold on the way!

The NAM has been very persistent in wanting us to have something more than mood flakes tomorrow. Other hi-res models seem to be catching on a bit as well. Temps should be sufficient for stickage, even midday. Ground should be nice and cold from these nights leading up to it. Tomorrow could be a bit of a surprise day if we're lucky.

You might have to come down with a little 24 hour bug next Tuesday Voyager ha.

It’s a tale as old as time. With the cold comes the dry and with the warm comes the wet. The key is finding that balance or threading the needle during transitions. As is often said, there are far more ways to fail than to score. This hobby can drive you crazy if you don’t keep proper perspective.

Record low max/mins at MDT for next Mon, Tue, and Wed...... 13/-16, 7/-22, and 14/-9 Much of that from the wicked '94 stretch. Lows seem untouchable but perhaps a run at a min max. Doubtful.

850s around -25 for much of the Commonwealth on Mon/Tue. No joke.

Yeah, a lot of change coming to college athletics, with smaller sports potentially feeling the effects the most. I have a buddy here at work who wrestled for a major college program and we were just discussing how starting next year they are capping the rosters to 30 wrestlers but making all 30 full scholarship. As it stands now, wrestling is only allowed 9.9 scholarships per team and even with that many of the smaller programs can't fully fund it. With the big schools now being able to give a full scholarship to all 30 members of the team it will be that much harder for the little guys to compete, not that they really can as it is. There may be a lot of unintended consequences to all this.

The big story is that cold next week, just a wicked trough over the Heartland, with 540 line reaching the Gulf. Starting to like our chances for a little event Sunday night, with other opportunities to follow.

Negative. But my grandpa and my pops are both lifelong Packers fan. One of those things that is just passed down. You know, Packers stuff hanging by the crib and Packers onesies and all that. I had no choice in the matter, just as my son won’t haha.
