  1. Well stated. It really was that kind of day. Great fire pit night.
  2. Low of 47 and a trace of rain from a late afternoon spritzer. An 8 on tap for today and a 10 for tomorrow. Onward.
  3. Third straight day with a low of 49. Added .01” of rainfall to the ledger. Reckon I’ll try and mow and plant some potted flowers today. Onward.
  4. That’s actually solid, enough to keep things damp. Only .01” here from a couple one minute popcorn showers. Loved the mix of sun and clouds though.
  5. Another low of 49 and .52” of glorious soaking all-day rainfall, for an event total of 1.09”.
  6. After some imposters tried to steal the crown in recent weeks, the rightful kings have returned to their throne, with the national high and low of 109 and 17 occurring at Death Valley and Peter Sinks, respectively.
  7. My own personal record for days in a month recording measurable precip is 21, done twice, in May of 2019 and March 2020. My fewest is 3 in November of 2023.
  8. Low of 49 with .57” of rainfall. Let’s see if MDT can set a record by staying below 54 all day.
  9. Well under a tenth of an inch down here but the good stuff seems to be on the way.
  10. 56 when I left the house with no measurable rainfall but some spotty stuff starting to fall as I drove to the train station.
  11. 42 when I left the house. Beautiful clear sky morning.
  12. FYI, min max records for MDT for Wed/Thu are 48/54, with both being set in the late 1800s.
  13. Low of 54 and yesterday was my first day without measurable precip since May 11th.
  14. Low of 61 and .02” of rain from last evening’s showers. Perfect day on tap.
  15. Ended up being nothing too crazy here, with one loud thunder crack, no real wind, and about a quarter inch. Perhaps more later.
  16. Looks like I’m about to get absolutely molly-wopped down here.
  17. Low of 60 and .03” of rain. A muggy one today.
  18. Yes. Perfection. A little breezy but that should help it feel nice.
  19. Low of 61 with .08" of additional rainfall. Three-day total of 1.52" and monthly total of 5.67". Grass is booming, a little bit of sun later today and it's going to explode.
  20. A new experimental 3k convection model named "GSL MPAS-G" that uses TEMPO microphysics (whatever the heck that means ha, satellite maybe?) has appeared on Pivotal. Anyone familiar?
  21. Low of 58 and 1.38” of total rainfall. Looks like about a half inch of that came from a nice batch moving through between 2-5am. Onward.
  22. How ‘bout it. Dews look to stay stuck in the 60s all week and perhaps even pop to near 70 briefly on Friday. Hopefully some relief on the way by late in the day on Saturday, before setting up for a beautiful Sunday.
