There was no snow in Central Park in December. The snow missed Manhattan north and south.

The HRRR has flipped every other run. Very odd.

GFS is north for Wednesday. Now gives the city a whole half inch

A nice burst of snow in Manhattan right now. A little stickage on umbrella’s means that this is our biggest snowfall of the season.
-
For the record, I'm in lower manhattan and we got nothing that day.
-
I was at Mountain Creek yesterday and conditions were bad, good amount of people though. Lots of slush.

GEFS ensembles don't look terrible for a snow chance Wednesday. i don't think it's right to write this one off.
-
The GEFS has trended north, with most ensembles showing a period of snow on Wednesday. Temperatures would likely be cool enough to break our snowless streak in Central Park.

I’m not as optimistic as you are. Ensembles aren’t as optimistic as I would like. There is some support, and the next 10 days are definitely our best opportunity.

Looking at the GEFS ensembles. It seems we still have a chance for some kind of overunning/backend or even a light to moderate snow event between January 31st and February 3rd. February 1st: February 2nd: February 3rd:

0z GFS is still a miss but is slightly farther north than 18z GFS for January 31st.

Totally agree. We have three shots in February (1st, 3rd and 6th). If we don’t get it then we can seriously start talking about a snowless winter.

Snow/rain mix in Woodside, Queens.

Just two days ago he was complaining about the GFS caving to the Euro. I had to point out to him that it was actually showing more snow. It definitely wasn't accuracy.
-
Totally agree. 20 miles is the difference. Someone in this thread is going to get surprised tomorrow with some nice front end snow.
-
0z NAM looks to be slightly south with snow. Still doesn’t snow in the city.
-
I’m not hopeful we will get measurable snow tomorrow but I’m not as pessimistic as some people. There will be cold air in place, and a change in just 20 miles could be the difference between snow and rain. This is not a situation where snow is missing us 100 miles north, Also, it’s just more fun to be optimistic.

That's the same depth as 18z. There is no cave.
