    hit 94 today...unexpectedly brutal, heat index 102......also got about a quarter inch with a very quick pop up storm and now that stationary line to the south of me is bringing in some more downpours as i type

    Peaked so far at 92 with heat index of 102 Shame Sunday didnt see enough sun to get to 90. It would have put the heatwave at 10 days today

    well this is showing below average rainfall and then add it in with the well above average 90 degree days and you see how dry things can get.

    not interested in yearly totals..what has it been the past couple of months. Ive been in the lawn business for years...this year is bad for the lawsn but true Ive seen worse...2021 was pretty devestating around here for a one month period with lawns

    looks like my 7 day heatwave is likely to come to an end today...but keeping my fingers cross we can get enough sun to get there

    this isnt true in central jersey...we had a 2 week stretch in early to mid July where we did well with over 2 inches but then went about 12 days with basically nothing...did receive about an inch yesterday but we went through 2 distinct dry periods that wiped out the lawns...first one was really bad, it eased and then the crabgrass proliferated with lawns basically struggling to come back and then the past 2 weeks has really hurt any new growth

    96 today for the high...day 7 of the heatwave and we got maybe an inch of rain here

    all you peeps said the same thing for 3 weeks...no doubt there is a shot for more rain than we had yet its no certainty how Debbie will interact here I remember when the models showed heat for this week then backed off into the 80s with several thundestorm chances and then all of a sudden I hit 99 and 100 and now going to probably end up with my longest heatwave of the season which will be 9 or 10 days through Mon/Tues today Saturday was expected to be mostly cloudy and stormy...yet its beautiful clear sunny skies and will be that way for much of the day with storms not hitting til after 6 if at all. Wouldnt be surprised to put up another plus 95 to my tally i also received about .05 here yesterday and have had about .10 the past 3 weeks. I just disagree with alot of the absolute terms thrown around here, its as if people never learn

    lol...the models the past 3 weeks all had rainy weeks and none have come to fruition

    Not imby...we hit 96 then had a 60 minutes of clouds that knocked it back but then had a ton of sun after 1 and temps shot up and we hit 100
