  1. I had 11 in sweetwater but soon as you got halfway towards Madisonville it dropped to a dusting. .
  2. NWS took away the hazardous outlook. Believe we will see WSW tomorrow for all of the area. They also stated in the latest briefing they believe we can see high amounts due to increased amounts with almost every new model run. It’s why they haven’t put a map out yet. They honestly were zoned in on 2-3 but now they’re thinking 5-7 area wide. .
  3. It was an amazing time! Back to back events would be Epic! .
  4. I bet we see similar amounts to what we saw during last Januarys epic snow. 8-12 area wide! .
  5. TellicoWX knows all too well about it too .
  6. Like where we are this far out. .
  7. Finally starting to see bigger flakes here .
  8. Best i could get of my flurry action. .
  9. Definitely took over Notchy Creek .
  10. Most of the Central Valley locations are still hovering around freezing with winds from the north. About 45 mins until the next round comes through. Could we see snow? More of that icky icy stuff? .
  11. Very fine flakes IMBY. Ice covering the trees and ground. Not sure about the roads. .
  12. Temperatures across northeastern TN into southwest VA are stubborn to rise versus the modeled rate, and that may continue to be the case overnight for areas with frozen precipitate on the ground. Lowered temperatures and slowed the overall rise overnight across locations that are still sub-freezing with observations from area airports and spotters with the latest HRRR and NAM guidance. Product wise a SPS for the relevant TN counties and an extension in time for the winter weather advisory in southwest Virginia have been issued. A band of light rain is crossing much of the cold portions of the area now, but will swiftly move through. Additional light icing is likely from this rain swath. Meanwhile the main band of rain still lies to our west, and a few rumbles of thunder or direct lightning bolts cannot be ruled out as the storms have been rather persistent while crossing Middle Tennessee. This line of primarily showers should rumble through during the overnight hours in agreeance with the forecast and guidance.-NWSM .
  13. Definitely cooler than expected. .
  14. Snow mixed in with that heavy return. .
  15. Temps falling close to freezing. .
  16. This next wave that’s in Chattanooga didn’t bring up any warm air, it’s actually cooled temperatures from the heavy precipitation. (From different stations in the area) Really going to be interesting to see how it fluctuates the forecast for later this evening. .
  17. System is about 3 hours ahead of schedule? .
  18. I’ve teetered between 32-35. Forecasted to be at 40 right now. .
