  1. Anybody like whiskey? That’s what I got now. Woodford. Great deal on a 200ml down the road. Only bought enough for a few. I had a decent day at work but it was wet and I was outside, and some folks don’t behave the way that I think that they’re supposed to. Sometimes people get really creepy, outdated, and inaccurate. I’m not talkin mean customers. I’m talkin bout weirdos. And my layers of mental disability, despite my genius, limit me to 25-30 hour workweeks. You say you live to work. That would kill me.
  2. A walk? No this is a scenario that requires doing 80 on the freeway, in the wrong direction, on ice. It’s ridiculous, atrocious, outrageous. just kidding.
  3. 2 inches of snow. It offers 2 inches. That’s bogus man. I hate that. It’s a red flag of course I got up this morning to a 7 inch 06z NAM after that offered me one inch. this is not an easy system to predick and frankly I’m doubting they’ll even know 6 hours in advance what it will do
  4. And it was more than 25 degrees colder at Willimantic here than Groton. That’s crazy warm front Ness
  5. My sister spun out near Manchester CT trying to get to work. She said “I wanted to teleport home but was halfway to work”. So I sang to her. “slip slidin away. Slip slidin away. You know the nearer your destination the more you’re slip slidin away”
  6. I’m waiting for 12z UK and others but 06z show were getting a lot of snow. Like a bunch. High end advisory low end warning
  7. It’s January 5 the angle is hardly different than the shortest day. It’s not March 15 or feb 2 nivht is always better tho
  8. Yeah if we’re midway through a 3 inch storm it’s sketchy to try and call out. You really do need a 6-12 deal for that In Iowa one morning we had 12 inches from overnight and I was due in for a shift at Olive Garden for lunchtime. My car was completely buried but the roads were treated. I tried to call out and they were like “you need to dig your car out”
  9. Well even the 3km NAM shows a plowable. its like having side curtain airbags and being Tboned at 37mph. It’s much better with than without. So then my question to you is…. What do you know about the 00z suites so far that can help you decide what you can toss?
  10. What’s the problem with the convective blob? Does it cause subsidence or something or otherwise pull energy out of our system from its adjacency and weight? And it is an ugly and lame blob as far as convection goes. Not exactly a forerunner of a tropical development lmao.
  11. NAM comes thru to give me one inch of snow… from a system that’s barely over 48 hours away. Thats a major red flag.
  12. Well it looked bad today on some Euro ensembles or something like that I saw those. There’s definitely something in the mix that threatens this outcome entirely.
  13. I mean that looks really bad. And this was what some people said was an important reveal? It gives me about an inch. A light inch. It doesn’t just look weaker. It looks dead. Trustworthy or not I don’t like that. And it’s not the first time today something hinted at super weak. I saw those ensembles.
  14. I know it doesn’t really snow below the Mason Dixon line, except when it does. Really, though, some of these locations enter into winter wondering if it’s going to snow at all. What’s going on here is no guarantee not even once…. Per year. Illinois is known for some brutal winters. But not that part of Illinois.
  15. I get minutes of delay behind when you guys get model data because I use Pivotal. I know it’s not the best but I’ve been using it for 5 years it’s what I know. I don’t use it in the summer, and I don’t come here in the summer either. Summer weather is a different vibe when it comes to forecasts and the like.
  16. Commutes? If a warning criteria storm hit I was planning on calling out. I have a 35 mile commute and a front wheel drive car is that unacceptable behavior? I just work in retail. Low ranking employee here.
