  1. Tropical downpour led to a spike in the dewpoint...feels horrendous out there, at least the temperature dropped from the high earlier...
  2. roasting down here....mostly sunny, already 86.3°/75°....swamp
  3. 89.4 for the high at mi casa, still haven't hit 90 yet....until Friday?
  4. Got down to 56.8 this morning after after a high of 86.7...not looking forward to the heat coming up, too hot for the kids to be outside for long periods.
  5. Managed a whole 0.25" of rain last night after we missed out last weekend...That train of moisture sw of NYC kept drying out as it moved NE, save this for the winter I guess?
  6. 57 this morning, feels great outside right now....next week is going to feel brutal. Especially if that tropical system goes northwest of here, yuck.
  7. Feels great here after a high of 86, down to 63 already with fans in the windows....I would take this temperature the rest of the summer if I could...
  8. Great storm just to my south, rattling the windows every minute or so, no rain of course....
  9. No thanks, I am ready for tomorrow's weather, today.... We could use some rain though, not much the past 10 days.
  10. I love this weather, maybe a bit higher on the mins for garden growing reasons. I think I ran the a/c 2 times so far and probably didnt need to anyway....rainfall has been enough to keep the garden happy, windows open for fresh air...whats not to love?
  11. Well it has been pouring here of and on all morning....We were running slightly below average for the month, so why not? It looks it might become more convective in nature as the day goes on, maybe some training storms and flash flooding down this way?
  12. 38.5 was the low here....not bad for June 4th
  13. Just got back from Hatteras last night...dewpoints were in the mid to upper 70s with highs in the mid 80s for most of the time. It is great for a beach vacation, but I will take this morning's weather the rest of the summer while I am not on vacation, so refreshing!
  14. The storms down hear in the OBX have been producing lightning since 5 pm this afternoon and have not stopped...just unreal weather right now!
  15. 49° looks like all we could do for today.....is May over yet? 2 weeks from now I will be in Hatteras, today's water temp at the Frisco Pier is supposedly 71°, its going to feel like the Southern Caribbean after this month....
  16. I mean the fact that the white plywood won't hold heat like driveways or even the warm soggy grass. That board started "accumulating" even before the railings of my deck or my patio table...Every little bit counts, right? lol
  17. I have a snow board that is 3/4" plywood, painted white that I will place in different locations depending on the potential winds of a storm. Last night I had the board on my back porch. I cleared the board after 6.5 hrs (4.8")...I woke up this morning and checked it at 7:10, It was at 8.5" on one side and 7.8" on the other side. I would assume this is due to the wind, not knowing what the actual number was I averaged the number and went with 8.15" + 4.8" = 12.95" total. Finding lots of numbers around the property of 12 and 13, i decided to call it 13"....It does seem high compared to other numbers, but there are so many variables to take into consideration...
  18. Always puts me in a great mood when I wake to this! Melting rate is insane right now
  19. 13" was a common measurement around the property, which was backed up by the snowboard measurements....mostly dense stuff, pretty tough to shovel, but a great workout. Now the melting begin....32.5°/29° - Newtown, CT
  20. 9.8" so far, heavy snow continues.....31.1°
  21. 9.4" here....I am just north of that band, it will scoot just south and east of here...
  22. Still snow down there? No sleet yet? It looks like it is close at least....pouring snow up here right now...
  23. Best rates of the night, 3.6" in 2 hours...8.4" total...31.2°/30°
  24. 1.6" in the last hour, storm total is 6.4". Heavy snow continues to stick to everything, pines are sagging an awful lot...I would assume power outages are going to start occurring. 31.4°/30° Newtown, CT
  25. That would figure for this season, sleet comes and ruins the party....I think we are ok up here, you should be fine down that way too.
