    A little light snow starting to fall here. Radar looking decent out of northeast Oklahoma. Wonder how much is reaching the ground.

    12z GFS really brings back the cold right after thanksgiving. Of course it is the GFS at the end of its run so it may not be entirely accurate.

    Got to love the 12z GFS. Snows over the entire area Monday. Canadian picking up on it too.

    We have had heavy sleet here. Some snow has mixed in at times.

    Wow! The radar looks great over Oklahoma. Think this will be a nice snow for most of us. Awesome to enjoy these last two years after the few dry winters we had in a row. Good luck everyone!

    Got to say I am loving the latest run of the Canadian. Looks like it has more snow unlike the icy GFS.

    00Z GFS seems to be coming in slightly colder to my untrained eye. Didn't it handle that airmass from last February better than the Euro and GEM? 00z GEM coming in colder as well.

    Hammers North and Central Arkansas/ Eastern Oklahoma. That would be a crippling ice storm. Edit: Very cold air coming in behind that storm too.

    12z Euro looks very interesting. Close to something big around the same time frame as the GEM.

    Yeah. I think I could deal with that. I mean it only gives me a foot but you can't have everything.

    Its been hard watching these storms look like they may come together over our area but then wait until they cross into Tennessee and the southeast to blow up. We have had some decent snows this winter but it just feels like we had the potential for so much more so far.

    I was just looking at that. I heard a met say that the HRRR was forecasting y'alls temps at 10 a.m. at 42 and it was 33. Big miss

    Wow! Was just able to look at the latest NAM maps. Really hoping those are right... I mean we are only 6 hours from this starting here and there is snow in southeast Kansas.

    Yeah. The NAM improved snowfall amounts across the four state region. Hope that trend continues into tonight's 00z runs.

    GEM is coming in now. Let's see how bad it is.

    The NAM says congratulations southwest Missouri. Has 2 feet in some spots!

    That is some cold air late in the 00z GFS run. Low single digits.

    Wanted to check in and wish everyone a Merry Christmas. I had a lot of fun on this forum last year and learned a lot too. Hoping for an exciting new year and for something to shake this pattern up!

    This is a the text of a tweet from Little Rock NWS. They were also reporting 2 inch an hour rates in Grant and Jefferson County. Family in El Dorado said they measured 10 inches. Historic for those guys. "One thing we're trying to verify this evening...Little Rock Adams Field (Pulaski Co) has received at least 9 inches of snow. The snow depth this morning was estimated around 7 inches. The highest depth all-time was 15 inches on January 21, 1918. We may have a new record."

    Interstate 530 near Pine Bluff has disappeared under the snow and there is no visibility according to the Arkansas Idrive camera there. This intense of a winter storm is simply unheard of in that area.

    Yeah. I am hearing that they have 6 inches in El Dorado. A cousin in Homer, LA, near the line says they also have 6 and it is still pouring. That is five years worth of snow in one week.
