  1. Rain/snow mix trying to change to all snow in Hillsborough now.
  2. Man this forum is pretty dead considering we have a chance at a little wintry mix early in the season...I know the Triangle isn't looking at much potential, hoping I can squeeze a little something out of this system here in Hillsborough. I'm a little less than an hour south of Danville.
  3. Sooo.. are we thinking enough of a minor event on Thursday night/Friday morning to close schools in the Triangle? Asking for a friend...
  4. Humberto looks to be trending stronger than expected so far, and track is trending more towards Bermuda...if the trends continue, how will this impact the track of the other storm? Interesting to watch it play out...
  5. I never like to hear the word "stall" when talking about a hurricane approaching the NC/SC coast. That's always the most catastrophic scenario. Rain, rain, more rain.
  6. My worry for the NC/SC coast is that this could creep up on them quickly. It's not even a tropical storm yet and might not become a hurricane until getting really close to NC/SC. If it moves fast and has a round of rapid intensification, this could happen just before landfall. This is not gonna be some long tracker we're following for a week.. situations are gonna develop in real time.
  7. Flurries/light snow in Hillsborough
  8. Is this a Wednesday evening/nighttime event now? Almost 10am and I don’t see any precipitation east of Asheville.
  9. Changed from “little to no additional accumulation” to “2-4 inches possible.”
  10. My “zone area forecast” from NWS for Hillsborough had been the same for about 24 hours, but just now changed to 2-4 inches for Wednesday night overnight.
  11. Yeah, I haven't read much about timing either. Interesting considering we're supposed to be 24 hours or less now, right?
  12. No expert but with all the runs and met forecasts (tv and nwc) combined, I feel like we’re gradually coming to consensus of a 1-3 event almost statewide with a small portion 4-6, most likely the NE quadrant of NC.
  13. Was thinking the same thing. I’ve never seen 1-6, lol
  14. A few more small ticks, and I feel like I'm sitting pretty in Hillsborough, NC! Don't let me down!
