  1. Flurries/light snow in Hillsborough
  2. Is this a Wednesday evening/nighttime event now? Almost 10am and I don’t see any precipitation east of Asheville.
  3. Changed from “little to no additional accumulation” to “2-4 inches possible.”
  4. My “zone area forecast” from NWS for Hillsborough had been the same for about 24 hours, but just now changed to 2-4 inches for Wednesday night overnight.
  5. Yeah, I haven't read much about timing either. Interesting considering we're supposed to be 24 hours or less now, right?
  6. No expert but with all the runs and met forecasts (tv and nwc) combined, I feel like we’re gradually coming to consensus of a 1-3 event almost statewide with a small portion 4-6, most likely the NE quadrant of NC.
  7. Was thinking the same thing. I’ve never seen 1-6, lol
  8. A few more small ticks, and I feel like I'm sitting pretty in Hillsborough, NC! Don't let me down!
  9. The Euro is having trouble even processing the amount snow its sensing for 2/20. Shut the whole system down.
  10. I’ve been thinking about this too. Was thinking of driving to the coast to try to see some decent snow. Fortunately wiggle room time is dwindling. I think we get snow at the coast.
  11. Starting to wonder if anyone in the southeast will see any snow accumulations, lol
  12. I’m not mad at all about any weather models. In fact I feel like the most trusted (Euro) has called this a coastal storm the whole way. I’m just more frustrated with central NC getting nothing out of all this cold air. Unbelievable.
  13. As a weather weenie, I must say it’s rather fascinating watching how cold this frigid air mass will actually get and subsequently “push” this wintry precipitation south and east. No one really knows except Mother Nature. I’m in Hillsborough so on the periphery of the NW shift I’ve read so much about. Fingers crossed for a dusting here, but will be really interesting to see how this all plays out with the cold air. Thanks to all who contribute! This is fun!
