    Easily top 5 thunderstorms event of my lifetime. Unfortunately it’s winter

    Crazy lightning, and the loudest thunder I can recall in Brightwaters. Whole house shook.

    Nothing screams winter like a good thunderstorm! Only thing we have to enjoy, considering the “suppression/depression” that is about to take hold.

    Sounds legit. The storms really blew up as they pushed through here, which is in relatively close proximity to Gilgo and Oak.

    It’s been wild, but virtually no wind. Seems to be over, but still a truly classic summer TS. Shout out to Mother Nature for putting on a great show

    Not sure what Upton is seeing for LI, but they remain confident of the threat for the area. Right now, as depicted on current radar, maybe the NS, could get scraped. The southernmost part of the storms are not going to bring much of anything for the area. Hopefully it changes
