Lots of rolling thunder, but only light rain atm. Should be out in the next thirty minutes.

Very disappointing. I’m most surprised at how far off the forecasted duration will be for this “event”. Neighbor has three tyrants for kids, and I was thrilled to think I’d get a break from their screaming in their pool! Not so lucky

Hope rapidly deteriorating for anything significant. Quick shower or sprinkles looking more likely for LI. Somehow the forks will do much better
-
Yeah, after another look 4 seems plausible. Upton disco half agrees, early evening. Point and click is completely different

Boo Which probably means 6pm IMBY. I’m still full sun, temp 82

NWS has rain through tomorrow morning. Radar seems to be telling a much different story.

SW Suffolk doing very well for once. Sprinklers are off

Looking like a quick shower for most of LI. Ain’t gonna get it done
-
Looking good for metro, not so much out here in SW Suffolk

CM is nice. He had a crew of friends from Binghamton U that worked at 6. Everyone graduated this year, so most moved on. We live in brightwaters, so RM is perfect. agree, we need a few rounds of rain to find the spots that the sprinklers miss
-
What field? Son was at JB6, but switched over to RM3 this year

Light rain in Brightwaters.

Definitely the smokiest I’ve seen thus far today in Brightwaters

The boss lady teaches in Bay Shore Schools, and it’s exactly as you described. Open windows or not. Damned either way

Historical reference New England's Dark Day occurred on May 19, 1780, when an unusual darkening of the daytime sky was observed over the New England states[1] and parts of eastern Canada.[2] The primary cause of the event is believed to have been a combination of smoke from forest fires,[3] a thick fog, and cloud cover https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_England's_Dark_Day
