I honestly don't look at as getting screwed. I just think of how many things have to go right for *anyone* to get snow, and when I get some it makes me very happy.
I grew up in Phoenix AZ so for me all snow is special. I'll take a 6-10er any day over the one-long-sunny-day I grew up in.
He has some great graphics on his Twitter. I follow him and check in there often because he really is a true wx weenie. Always worth a look, especially for the long range.
All my measurements averaged out to an even 20", and I came in to look at the NWS snow totals page. 20" for Woonsocket.
So 20" it is. Still snowing somewhat, but bfd. I can't remember ever getting 20" in such a short duration. The bulk of it came between sunup and sundown.
Sorry for stealing people's snow, but I have had mine stolen oh so many times.
Average measurement just now was 16.5, and it is just dumping snow imby.
Winds picking up again, vis: endzone to the 50 yard line.
Genuinely sorry for the snow theft victims.
Lightening up here as that band heads west. Gusts are picking up and temp down to 27.3.
Super light fluffy snow on top of an inch or two of slush. All my measurements were either 10, 11, or 12", so let's say 11" in N RI so far.
And the power is holding on after being restored at 10 am. It's all fun and games until the power goes out.
Power out in N RI for about an hour and a half, but it just came back on.
31.1, winds cranking, +S, and maybe 5-6" down (eyeballing), Vis maybe 300ft. Pines straining under the weight.
Just. So. Much. snow in this band.
