  1. How many times have we said that last sentence so far this winter
  2. I’m not sure I’d be waving the white flag if I lived in kankakee…
  3. I mean if you look at it this way, the NAM and Euro are in pretty good agreement…
  4. So if it snowed 1” and melts by observation time it shouldn’t count as snow?
  5. Patchy FZDZ developed as the system pulled out overnight near Chi metro, created some slick spots. ORD had -FZDZSNGS at one point. After that, several hours of aircraft-induced snow showers that can still be seen on TORD, although fading. Bet some localized spot in NE Dupage saw something measurable out of it, as it actually came down at a good clip for a minute or two directly underneath any of the showers.
  6. Overnight runs look to weaken the system a bit sooner, color me shocked
  7. Or the squall feature along the immediate front, hasn’t been developing it until near midday when in reality it’s been there
  8. If 12z runs hold/bump east, gonna start to get excited..
  9. By a few tenths yeah. Some might’ve blown off when I cleared it and put it on top during a lull, not sure
  10. 10.1” here in extreme SE Grundy. Last night I put 2 snow boards out, one of which I cleared at 2:30 when I measured 2.3”. At 8:30, it had 7.8”. The one I didn’t clear off is pictured
  11. If you punted on the NW fringe, don’t look at the hrrr
  12. RAP was pretty far south initially, but it has corrected north. Probably just it being itself but it’s all we got
  13. Well the SE trend we feared seems to have stopped for now. Wouldn’t take much of a bump to bring higher totals north, but models seem locked in
  14. The earthquake in OK def means it’s gonna go north, it’s just common sense
  15. While it’ll take a bit more of a significant shift north to get max totals through the metro, it wouldn’t take much to get 12”+ totals north, which would still be a good storm for many.
