  1. DCA beat me too. 9.8” on 1.01” precip. Almost perfectly a 10:1 ratio on the storm However, and I don’t know if this held everywhere, but ratios were terrible yesterday. 8:1 here. I’m guessing it was the non-accumulating snow from 7am to 2pm that did it.
  2. Made it past the 8” mark. 2.8” since 7am, most of it in the last couple of hours.
  3. Big clumped dendrites. This is the stuff that can accumulate quickly.
  4. I shoveled at 8am and my driveway/sidewalk is wet. Radar along 66 looks good. Would be awesome to get 2” more.
  5. And the plow driver spun out on my street. Not a great day to be out. ~6”
  6. 5.3” on 0.44” precip, so we did do ok on ratios.
  7. Everyone was all in on the Kuchera maps. We’re totally going to end up at 10:1
  8. I think that is the best run of the 3k yet. Between 0.9” and 1.0” for DC.
  9. NAM looks like about 1” for DC. While it has lingering snow, it isn’t quite as ridiculous as the 12z run.
  10. The euro is like 1/4” to 1/3” snow per hour. It just goes on forever.
  11. The thing the NAM has is a tighter 500 and a path that is perfect for the DC metro to keep that feed going all afternoon
  12. Hard to tell on IWM, but it looks like 1.25” qpf for DC on the NAM thru 31 hrs. Oh, NAM.
  13. The extended 12z HRRR is good, with around 0.5” qpf near DC, but Fredericksburg and south really get shellacked.
  14. He does that on almost every map with bigger cities.
  15. I'm still pissed at that early July torch/dry spell.
  16. I'm still annoyed that the dry period to start July nuked my grass.
  17. The earthquake was awesome. Definitely remains one of those "where were you" moments.
  18. This is exactly what we want at the height of sun-angle season.
