    Nobody excited about clipper at hour 300? RDU with a surprise 1-2” lol! I’ve seen it happen before with a low develop however and make it white.

    Fat lady hasn’t started singing yet. 18z may give us hope. Ensembles still agree on cold press and that is key for us.

    GEFS 12z looks good so far. Operational not so much as it hangs cold out west too long.

    I was referring to the upcoming pattern not now so I definitely agree. A single event will work given that RDU has gone about 700 days now without accumulating snow. .

    We have a real window of opportunity coming so I hope that we cash in before the pattern relaxes. GFS operational has been showing some long range digital winter weather.

    GFS consistently giving RDU rain to accumulating snow next Thursday. It won’t be pure but anything would be exciting. We have basically been shut out. .

    It is cool to at least get digital snow here just north of RDU but I really don’t have much faith that it will materialize. At least we got a little flizzard on Saturday morning for those up to see it. .

    My sons went sledding on the street 2x last year but I’m about 4 miles north of RDU as the crow flies. .

    We all saw the writing on the wall but there will be other chances. Perhaps some post frontal flurries Friday will brighten spirits. The biggest takeaway is that if Brick didn’t show up, don’t get too excited RDU folks. .

    GFS goes back to back for NC Super Bowl fun and games! Not a huge one but perhaps getting RDU to climatological average if 2.5-3” is verified.
