  1. Down to 14F in the valley, nice pond freezing cold the past few days
  2. Dry weather and woodstove ash fueled brush fires to continue?? I mean we currently have the airmass, just need some storms to break the right way. If there is any silver lining in this is that New England Ski areas can at least build a good man made base heading towards the end of the month.
  3. Still think Se of 84 is under an 1” or rain; congrats elevations.
  4. Decent cold temps considering there is no snow pack down here; 14F so far for the low.
  5. Down to 19F this am in E CT; decent early cold shot to start December.
  6. Every car in New England shuttered with that thought…..How we have progressed; we’ve come from rear wheel drive cars and sand with some salt mixed in on the roads to copious amounts of salt and road, car, and bridge eating road chemicals and cars that are front wheel drive, all wheel drive and 4 wheel drive and the accident rate is this about the same it was 40 years ago!
  7. Black ice issues this evening? Down to 35F here and damp and foggy.
  8. More than I expected but very much needed…. Breezy and partly cloudy here in E CT while W CT sees snow, good times!
  9. My concern is yes while .50/.75 of rain definitely helps with the fire threat if we are windy and dry out for the weekend into next week I think people will feel with todays rain it’s open season to burn again and we could see some problems again
  10. Looking like potentially only a .50” here in E CT, will help with the fire threat but it will dry quickly Sat and into next week and the rain will give everyone the green light to start burning
  11. So is BOX widespread 1.5-2.0 accurate or heaviest amount confined to Western NE and NYS? Guess we will see
  12. Wagons west with the rain for tomorrow? Seeing possibly a .50” here in Eastern CT which will be helpful but not enough to stop brush fire threat with another 5-6 dry days following.
  13. Let’s see how this shakes out, seeing .50-.75” here; a little skeptical that it’s going to be a little less than .50” which is good, we need it but will only dampen the very top layer and will be wind blown dry this weekend.
  14. Meh, showers this am fizzled to drops barely enough to dampen the driveway; I think the rain totals as we get closer to Thursday drop from an inch to possibly a 1/2 to maybe 3/4 with more west of the river
  15. Down to 32F this am, sort of surprised there is no ref flag warning this am with potential winds today
  16. I sit in a valley on my side of town, about 250’ in elevation.
  17. Down to 26F here in E CT, cold but no frost in the ground. Let’s see how this week modeling goes; the trend has been more north this season as we get closer
  18. It was dead calm here for a bit, but here is the breeze!
  19. Down to 27F this morning here in the Valley in E CT; now up to 32F and calm currently with no wind
