  1. Down to 61F in E CT, only 0.05” here, not nearly enough. The good news is the air is off for most of the week!
  2. Caught it as it formed over Brooklyn, only 0.01” but will take that these days
  3. Air temp no longer matters, how many days above 90F is the “feels like” temperature.
  4. Steined yesterday in far eastern CT, temp 71F to start this am
  5. Warmer start this am, last few days were 59-60 and already 68F here now.
  6. I had my Fill with Hurricane Matthew, Irma, Michael, and just missed (stalled 70 miles away) Hurricane Dorian and finally Hurricane Ian while living in FL before moving back to CT….I am all set!
  7. Looks like the positioning is a little further south than modeled, looks like we watch and track.
  8. And no power for two weeks. If/when we do get hit it will be funny to listen to people bitching about power being out for 24hrs never mind a week+!
  9. Down to 50F this am, a few warm days ahead then see where things go
  10. Such a drought in Nova Scotia they’re fining people if they go into the woods? Is this true? Where’s @Hazey
  11. I think the October Snowstorm did more tree damage than Irene or Sandy
  12. A strong Cat 1 or greater will be devastating here because of the tree growth we have had since Bob and the fact that most people are not prepared for extended power loss. One thing learned from my time in FL is that a majority of people had some sort of disaster kit, the state offered two tax free weekends where you can stock up on Hurricane related supplies. We are long over due here and people are not ready.
  13. Back to Back 50F mornings, we take! Natural cooling while HVAC takes a break for a few days before going back on this week.
  14. Hoping for .25-.50” down here but not sure that is likely
  15. Everything seems to be drying up as it gets North into CT; there is the chance with that band on the MA/CT border
  16. Do we have a 7/10 split setting up here? Looks like stuff north of the CT border into W Ma and then that band in NYC; does it head over LI?
  17. Some models showing heaviest precip west of CRV towards NYS; let’s see how that plays out
  18. Still bouncing between 97/98F in E CT, although house is about to be shaded my weather station is at the property edge and will see full sun for another 2 hours. Thankful this is not FL with my block construction and barrel tile roof; holds the heat like a Dutch oven
