  1. Down to 23F here in crispy E CT this am. Here comes the Red Fled weekend
  2. Not only the surface fuels but this are burning 6-8” in the ground running the root lines
  3. Forest burning from deep fried Turkeys, should be fun!
  4. 19F in NW CT, 28F here in Eastern CT and up now to 29F
  5. Nothing better than the 360Hr Storm threats to look forward to this winter!
  6. 57F so far for the low off of 23F yesterday; .16 over night for rain. Winds today and tomorrow say hold my beer to any rain we got and gives the green light for people to think it’s ok to start burning again.
  7. Some how we have escaped the embers burning around us here in Windham County; lucky we have had mostly illegal burns to contend with
  8. Down to 33F so far here in E CT, a change over the past few mornings.
  9. Kind of my point, just say 84F in Windsor Locks, not Hartford Area.
  10. So yesterday was 84F in CT and tied a November record in the “Hartford Area”……what town is the “Hartford Area”? Is that Kevin?
  11. Little surprised there is no Red Flag warning down here, although I guess RH is a little high; winds a little concerning.
  12. Down to 25F here in the Quinebaug valley in E CT; bone dry down here. The wind tomorrow through Wednesday not good for the current brush fire threat.
  13. Down to 57F here in E CT; looking at radar and precip appears to stay north of the pike. Winds will become an issue as the day goes on
  14. Only 0.02” down here, enough to dampen the dust until the sun comes out. Did you see the club house at CT National bead a fire Monday?
  15. Waiting for the 0.02” of rain to dampen the dust and then watch people think it’s ok to start burning leaves and brush again because of a shower
  16. The “showers” we may receive tonight do nothing for the fire threat, winds and warm temps tomorrow dries up anything that falls.
  17. Currently a structure fire at the clubhouse at CT National Country Club in East Putnam CT. Heavy fire in the basement and main floor of the building
  18. 33F this am, and bone dry outside, no dew. A couple of the brush fires I have worked we have found it burning 6-8” deep running the root lines. The larger fires around will burn for a few weeks and travel underground until we get a soaking rain
  19. 45F for the low and brush fire already started here in E CT this am; Franklin CT has one on a hill top near Ayer Rd, not accessible by ATV’s.
  20. Down to 42 this am, lawn is crisp like the leaves that litter my yard. When we had all the rain the last two years I assumed we get into a dry pattern last winter, turns out it showed up this fall.
  21. Not even a trace, had enough sprinkles to barely dampen the driveway, back to Stein and Burn
  22. Down to 46F off a high of 84F, weeeeeeee!!
