  1. 9" from this morning. Should hit double digits with this evening's snow. Hopefully. (Only have a pic of when it was 8.5")
  2. Flakes are flying. 31 (dewpoint 16 - what virga!?)
  3. At least the swings are with the snow and not the cold. As long as we have the cold then....
  4. We getting greedy? lol That's not the storm we want. It's the follow up, we're looking to. If anything happens with the 6-7th, that's bonus.
  5. Better than playing the Eagles for a third time, yuck. We HAVE to stay in #6. I believe if Seattle wins (and we take care of our business with Dallas), we would play Tampa. Which, I'm cool with. This team is not even close to being the same team they saw week 1. This is YEAR 1. YEAR 1 of a rebuild. Daniels and the Commanders are only going to get better!
  6. That...is insane. We're still 7-4. Why on earth would we tank the season now?? We've already won 7 games. Tanking wouldn't give us a good draft pick and would be completely pointless. Quinn would lose the locker room immediately, lose the fan base, etc. Seibert shouldn't have played yesterday. He's obviously still hurt. Should have given the other kicker another week. This loss...hurt. We could be in a 'win and you're in' scenario at the end of the season, and lose. And that loss wouldn't be as hurtful as this one.... **************** Yes. Though it's going to be a shock to the system for just about all. Temps we haven't seen since mid-January
  7. A tear may or may not have been shed. Beautiful
  8. According to my calculations, there is a non-zero chance a snowflake will fall from the sky this year.
  9. The Commanders?? Or Pittsburgh? For the Commanders, it would take a miracle for them to not end up above .500, lol. They only need two more wins (Titans and Saints pretty much guarantee that.) I don't see us losing to Dallas twice...or once for that matter. At this point, and with the way the team has played, anything less than 11 wins would kinda be disappointing.
  10. Fine, I'll do it - I'll be the one going super high. Just because. No logical reason. BWI: 24.3" DCA: 20.2" IAD: 30.7" RIC: 17.4" Tiebreaker (SBY): 11.6"
  11. For October? For the airports and city, maybe (quick in-precise check, looks like DCA had 14 nights above avg.) But we've had a couple stretches of multiple <40 degree nights. Here, one of those was 5 straight nights of temps in the 30s. 100% sure other places fared better. I think that's not too shabby for October around here....
  12. Stunned! I was not expecting us to see it!
  13. ....I can't tell if this is sarcasm or not, lol If not, then the question would be active compared to what? Not the 2020s certainly. Other neutral years? We're on par (or behind.)
  14. What do you mean? Anyone who DIDN'T is the weirdo
  15. ...or not. Thought I remembered this: https://www.weather.gov/hazardsimplification/revampprogress Looks like next year they're changing again. Removing "advisory" completely.
  16. Perfect event for a 'Snow Advisory' Why on Earth did they get rid of those?
  17. I can guarantee it's going to snow. The coats on the deer that frequent my backyard are looking extra thick. At this point - deer > EURO
  18. But like...why? When was the last time we saw snow on snow? If the Monday/Tuesday and 20th event just bring an inch or two each, that's an absolute win....
  19. Did they change it after '16? When an observer went to DCA and had a completely different measurement (19.4", #3 all time) than the official amount?
  20. Can confirm graupel with flurries mixed in
  21. BWI: 26.3" DCA: 24" IAD: 33.8" RIC: 17" SBY: 20.2" '16ish as most (but not all) comes in one big shot...
  22. 32.7 this morning. Going to go ahead and round down, and count it as a freeze
