Yeah- they are terrible and I told this story many times. We were getting crushed with LES years ago and had 6” on the ground @6pm with no signs of letting up. I called the office in Binghamton to ask why there was not even an advisory posted. The MET asked what I was talking about. I informed him there was a stationary band sitting over northern Onondaga. 30 minutes later, a LES advisory was posted. That’s also when I learned that they primarily rely on the Canadian model. The guy was really nice and shared some good information. The call ended and I thought to myself, “did that just happen?”

That is F’n hysterical! You could not make that map up.

Or local Syr mets that forecast 2-5” for every event with 8” south and north west (Tug Hill) of the city. Use the same snow maps over and over

Judging by this winter...February historial averages...love it! Of course people in SE PA and MidAtl won’t like but they don’t have businesses relying on snow. It is simply their guilty pleasure. I want them to hit big...:as long as WE hit big!;)

Just issued for Onondaga County- after the fact of receiving info about Lysander having 7” and counting earlier. Think we are done for now in NW Onondaga but hope a few more bands gets some legs coming from up north before breaking up. Very nice event!

It did jump north from 18z and hopefully settles with everyone here in the swath.

Looks like the GFS knocking on our doorstep in CNY for Tuesday event. Next Friday’s storm looks very impressive but being a week out, will hopefully trend in our direction as well- way too far out. What’s the old saying...big storms come northwest?;)

Appreciate it brotha and no meds other than Tylenol and aspirin with pedialyte. Your sister is right to be concerned but better to have some protection than none. As for your travels, thank you for sharing as you are probably Patient Zero.:) You should get an antibody test as you may have had it.

I believe the vaccines do work and everyone who has not been exposed to COVID should get one. It makes sense to get some protection rather than none. The problem it with the variants of the virus as there are new ones popping up seemingly every day. A flu vaccine doesn’t mean you will not get the flu, it will offer protection and same goes with the COVID vaccine.

I have COVID and finally on the upswing after a 12 day fever. There is roughly 25% of front line healthcare workers that are refusing the vaccine in CNY. Teachers are afraid to get it but may be forced to eventually. There are so many unknowns with the vaccine, long term side effects, it is unsettling. I have talked to colleagues who work in the hospitals who had COVID, got the vaccine, and had horrible reactions with a couple individuals getting full blown COVID again. It’s the razors edge with getting the vaccine or getting COVID, beating it and developing natural antibodies. Masks are here to stay, unfortunately, because of all the unknowns.

Well...looked at the latest GFS and almost doesn’t make sense. Looks completely suppressed and almost stationary for days in the lower Midwest. Gonna hang the NWS and ignore this model- so odd.

Nice! Went there 2 years ago for a work trip with the wife! Amazing- you will get sick on the way to the resort of choice as the hills are so steep. It is a true paradise in the West Indies. Enjoy!
