  1. uh, isn’t most of the precip gonna be done after 10pm?
  2. It’s all about rates man. When ive had good rates, the snow has stuck to the roads with no problem. When it’s light or pixie dust it’s no good. It doesn’t matter what the time of year is if you don’t have the rates or if it isn’t 20 degrees, it won’t accumulate on the pavement well
  3. Need to get rates back here. Basically just flurries right now. Hopefully some of that stuff in southern MD swings up here by 4
  4. Getting nothing right now in east Baltimore county but have about 2” otg
  5. Back to pixie dust here after 90 mins of solid moderate snow. Got to about 2”. Hopefully the stuff coming in from VA doubles that total for me late this afternoon
  6. Maybe I’m being pessimistic but I just don’t see that late wrap around stuff working out. If we don’t get it tomorrow afternoon/evening I just think that’s all she wrote
  7. Euro looks like it keeps the good stuff up into PA for tomorrow. Oh well
  8. It doesn’t show 17” for Baltimore. He posted a 204 hr forecast
  9. He posted a 204 hr forecast lol that’s not what the CMC shows for this storm
  10. Some nice mod snow for the last 30 mins. Like that this band just keeps hovering over the Baltimore area. I guess my BS talk a little earlier got the snow gods pissed off
  11. Getting slightly better rates under that band in east Baltimore Co...finally covering the road back up a little
  12. That should fill some. You can see the stuff in central VA starting to come more NE...should be some filling down around Charlottesville and feeding NE. But the question will be the rates. If we just get this pixie dust all day there’s no way I’m getting more than 2” and the roads will never be covered
  13. We just don’t have the rates so far. It snowed decently around 830-9am for like a half hour and ever since it’s been pixie dust
  14. These rates stink so far. I can’t even get solid road coverage
  15. Because the closer in, the better they get. And this is a Miller B that typically always develops too far N for us. I’m thinking tomorrow will be a complete bust but I’m gonna try to enjoy what we get today. Even though the 3K NAM struggles to get me to even 3” before the mix
  16. If the 3K NAM is right we’re gonna be hurting tomorrow. Just a disastrous run
  17. Steady snow has started here in Dundalk. Instant stickage. That’s the best part of this storm. Not waiting for the ground to cool
  18. GfS ain’t too bad with the coastal/CCB for Monday afternoon and evening. It’s not a pummeling until you get to the PA line but we’re able to add 3-5” elsewhere.
  19. I’ll bet nobody in Maryland gets a foot much less 2 or 3. Do you ever post realistic expectations?
  20. Idk this is starting to have bust written all over it to me. Did not like the way the 3K NAM went for the coastal and the HRRR and RAP are pretty measley with today’s stuff. Where’s the rates? Just don’t look like there’s ever +snow with this
  21. Let’s hope the HRRR isn’t right...running dry as hell
  22. I’m outside smoking a cigar and holy crap it feels colder than 30 out here in Dundalk
  23. Hopefully the NAM continues to be a little too far north with coastal reformation on Monday. Most of the good stuff is well into PA and NJ/NYC
  24. Warnings hoisted for the rest of us. 6-12 for most north of DC
