  1. I understand. I’m just trying to emphasize my point that I still think going to a baseball game is reasonable lol. And yeah, I didn’t find MLBs decision encouraging or the right move either but I just enjoy sports too much. As much as I hate mixing sports and politics, I’m still going to try to enjoy my sporting events
  2. Yes, agreed...and that was my point earlier...if you play it right, pick a non prime game. Maybe eat somewhere or at home before the game and just get a drink or have a beer or 2, you can go to a game 2 people probably for about $75...less obviously if you stay away from concessions completely.
  3. Hmm...you must have went to one of those prime games where the tickets are more expensive...If its a non Yankee/Red sox etc game, usually upper deck tickets are $15-20 even if you get them thru the box office at the stadium on weeknights....But yes, the concessions are ridiculous. Im just saying compared to other things its just kind of the norm. I mean concessions at the movies, zoo, acquarium etc are ridiculous too.
  4. I still think going to a baseball game is reasonable...Yeah if you're gonna splurge on all of the concessions then you will rack it up quick. But tickets you can still get for like $10-20...or you could before covid anyway. I still think its alright when you compare it to other things like the aquarium, zoo, amusement park. Hell even the movies....now football games, yes outrageous, especially the popular games/teams but part of it is because theres only 8 home games. Not 81...
  5. Yeah, I was afraid of this general look/forecast. Fortunately this week is playing out ok so far but by end of week/weekend and next week it may just be that damp and dreary type of pattern. Hopefully not
  6. Yeah I need to find that one. I’ve had the regular KBS and it’s decent but I need that one
  7. So like I said was at Hysteria Brewing earlier today for the dunkaroos drop. Good beer, but it doesn’t get any cuter than my 2 girls. My Gf and my French bulldog Lily
  8. Yeah I mean, the pitching is probably similar. Comes down to the offense. Generally I think Boston’s offense is better than the Os but not so far lol
  9. Lol I hear ya. But I do think they have enough offense to get to around 70. But beyond that, the pitching would have to really surprise. So far, 2 games so good tho lol
  10. Yeah. My expectation is about 65-70 wins. But who knows. Maybe they can surprise a little and get to 75. Anything beyond that would be a complete shock
  11. Nice day at the park but holiday weekend so not too much going on. So watching the final four on the IPad and drinking a Guinness extra stout lol
  12. Apparently the Os are gonna go 162-0. I’ll take it!!
  13. Yeah so, fourscore made a vanilla cookie stout and hysteria made a sprinkle cream stout. The idea is to blend the two. It was good. But let’s be honest it’s extremely hard to get the exact taste of something in a beer lol. I found that four scores vanilla cookie one was better on its own than the sprinkle cream from hysteria which is not surprising because fourscore is superior in brewing stout type beers.
  14. Yes but I need to try to get down around the DC/northern VA area and hit some of those spots. I hear good things. But yeah there’s ample amount of breweries to choose from between Columbia and the PA line and then on the eastern shore. I’m actually in the parking lot at hysteria brewing in Columbia waiting for them to open. They are dropping their dunkaroos stout collab with Fourscore today
  15. Isnt that the truth haha. Maybe there will be snow showers in June!
  16. Interesting one from Mobtown...imperial stout aged 6 months in oak barrels and then aged 15 months in red wine Pinot Nior Barrels. I am not a red wine fan but this was actually decent. The balance between sweet and dry was good.
  17. Hey, if thats your prerogative...If it were October Id be more inclined to agree, maybe it would foreshadow a winter event and its generally more expected in October but during baseball season, coming out of winter when outdoor stuff is starting up? No thanks. I still have to disagree about there being plenty of 60-70 degree days and sunny in this area but okie dokie
  18. I think you're one of few people who would be wishing that one in lol
  19. Yeah but it looks like there may be a fair share of days where it is damp and dreary...caught in between those features kinda says chilly and dreary to me but I hear ya. Hopefully the storms drive up more to our northwest or something
  20. Think we may have been spoiled with March with the relative dryness and warmth for the most part of the month. April is looking kinda crappy. Sun and Mon look nice but outside of that we seem to be stuck in between the blocking in the north atlantic and developing storms to our west. Kinda appears to be an overall blah pattern, maybe not a ton of rain but just dreary and chilly-ish
  21. What’s style is that, like a barley wine?
  22. Yes. Of course we could have lucked into something with our March history but it seemed fairly clear that the first couple weeks of March would feature above normal temps and below normal precip. Not good for snow. And after mid March snow chances decrease dramatically so that’s why I made the call, but of course I got criticized for it in here and still do but whatevs. People can live in fairytale land if they want to
  23. I did cancel it and it was a hell of a good call. Most of this forum hasn’t seen any winter precip or any kind of extended winter cold since that date. I still post cuz it’s weather and it’s discussion. Maybe you can admit my call was actually a good one?
  24. Yeah. Not like many people in this forum will see April snow anyway though so whatevs
