I've seen exactly what you're talking about! My Great Grandmother lived on Roslyn Street in Hartford RIGHT on the line, Trout Brook was always nice... then turn the corner and it was another world
Some maybe a little, but in my eyes there's WAY more focus on the roads during storms now than say what I remember as a kid in the 70s through into the 80s. It changed drastically in the early 90s when we actually started getting regular snow events again. When I was a kid it was normal to not see blacktop for a couple days on secondary roads after a storm if temps were right. IMO there's an over obsession with clearing roads during storms now
Looking at data this morning, I think that's fair, although I think slightly underdone just west of CT and Berkshires. This is moving so quickly, any accumulating snow at decent rates only lasts a few hours
Very cool just having an active pattern with cold in place or nearby. I'll take the nickles and dimes and hopefully we can cash in with a larger event. Saturday night is looking decent right now as well
Man have some of us gotten spoiled! JK, well sort of. I'm happy I get as much enjoyment from just covering the ground as I do with a 12 plus event. Give me an event like Thursday looks to be and multiply it several times and I'm ecstatic. That's what made 1995/96 winter so special was multiple events like this, not the big ones.
