GFS ensembles continue to slowly tick west with the big NE storm next week. I might be able to sneak in a few inches.

Mine too. Would love to see it slow down a bit before becoming a coastal.

I mentioned earlier that big changes in the strat like SSW's that seem to always be pushed back by models aren't valid. GFS actually bumped this up a day. Will have to see what the euro and ensembles do. Certainly something to watch out for.

Big thing to watch is if the models keep moving the goal posts with them. If a SSW keeps showing up at the end of the run, it's not valid. If it gets closer as time goes on, it might be legit.

Far from over. Seems like most guidance is garbage outside of 5 days. Each signal has a chance.

Thermals seem all out of wack on the GFS. Then again I really can't recall following a system like this before in my lifetime.

Wow. More hits into PA but still a bit east again from the EPS.

Yeah. I mean that's 100+ hour snow map so it's worth nothing. Most splits here are along I-70 or I-71. I guess a US-23 split might become a thing now.

Maybe a tick to the east. Came in a little weaker with northern branch, but still the same story.

GFS still doing it's own thing. I see some signs of it caving to euro other than the much weaker northern branch.

ILN even mentioned it. They don't usually bring up snow until a day or two before.

I'm not even sure what to think at this point. Is a low spinning out like that over the lakes even a valid solution? I know this is a rare/unusual pattern so models will likely struggle for quite a bit longer.

Yeah it's bad. The last 5 or so years have been pretty comical at times. Outside of northern parts of the state we always find a way into the screw zone.
