I know it’s early, but I can’t get rid of this feeling that we do worse than last year. Future still looks good though so I’ll remain hopeful.

No one needs to leave the house anyway. I wouldn’t risk it because I could get lost with all these new maps without legends. Where is the bottom, where is the top?

How much would the rain afterwards affect anything that falls? I’d imagine a lot, but maybe that isn’t modeled well even now?

The weenies need to get off TT until the whole model is in, they’re slowing it down. Anyways, guessing the mountains will destroy whatever that is at 174.

12z GFS has an amazing storm for the 19th. Waiting for it to come into range on other sites though.

I’m not trusting anything until it gets very close. Wouldn’t be surprised to see that rain/snow line mess us up this winter. Enough doom and gloom from me though. I won’t be able to pay too much attention anyway, as I’ll have classes again.

Dry, maybe a few flakes, but dry. Not sure why they salted the roads so so much down here.

They said they’re making snow there and hope to have it open before the end of the weekend on the website.

That 800’ might be about right for the main area, but their 1500’ is the Western Territory which is across the street from the main area, it’s about a mile and a half long I think? There’s also silvercreek for night skiing until 9, as the main area closes at 4.

And unless something has changed, the GFS still counts sleet as massive snow on the 10:1 right?

It seems like not only will this miss, but it will also take away whatever snow is left by then if it rains before it switches over to the little amount possible. I guess let’s get to tomorrow at least. I’ll be enjoying photos though, so please keep them coming.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see only 1”, maybe slightly less. But let’s see what the 18z HRRR says.

It will be really good for Snowshoe, as they closed a ton of stuff. They had to close silvercreek for a few days, but it’s reopening at noon.

Is there a reason stuff seems to happen when the NAO changes from positive to negative and negative to positive? Or is that just the way weather works?

My county was closed too, and they provided the “freezing rain advisory” as the reason, but I think a delay would have been fine. Kinda thinking they are doing it to keep people out of school buildings at this point. Edit: But also wouldn’t be surprised if just to the west got a ton more than I did.

As a Non sports follower, WFT sounds pretty good. None of the possible names sounded too good to me.

Hopefully the stuff we have stays around so it falls on snow.
