  1. Might be approaching 1/8th of an inch of ice here.
  2. I think that’s the sleet line I mentioned earlier. I don’t think it’s all snow, just going by CC.
  3. They will come before the sleet like what happened here.
  4. Pretty much the same at the top of main street in Blacksburg. Had a nice walk around campus and came back coated in the ice. Going to guess your slightly south position helped with the ever so slightly higher snow amounts. edit: hope the cats nearby are okay!
  5. Sleet Line looks to be somewhere near Farmville right now. Hope you all get plenty of time with snow!
  6. Out for a long walk and returned with a thick glazing of freezing rain.
  7. Radar and sky seems to indicate the end of the snow part. Measured 1.125”. Garb storm.
  8. Kind of a gap forming over roanoke. Hopefully not a sign that the good stuff slides south.
  9. it switched over to sleet in blacksburg after large flakes. Was really hoping for oranges but guess not. Picked up maybe an inch.
  10. It’s snowing decently here, and I like the Oranges on radar creeping this way.
  11. Can’t remember. But it is snowing here. Road outside has caved immediately.
  12. That’s my thoughts at this point too. Big Snows have been slowly sliding off the table since yesterday imo.
  13. This morning, I don’t think the NWS’ forecast is that bad at all. 4” give or take a few seems correct.
  14. Canadian has the Sleet line further south. Kinda looks like it combines the 2 parts of the storm.
  15. No, but I tend to think of the NAM as having the highest precipitation amounts typically. When it doesn’t, I get a little scared. It doesn’t have the lowest QPF here, but it’s too warm so it’s not snow.
  16. Stuff on the back side definitely looks better, which to me is the important part since it’s the stuff that will stick around.
  17. Some of these shorter range models aren’t great this evening… Edit: Not including the NAM yet, still running.
  18. I am not leaving it off the table, and I certainly don’t want to wait to find out with the cold temperatures afterwards. My neighborhood roads typically hold snow for days afterwards.
  19. I’ll probably have to leave ric for this one to get back to school for something at the end of the week. I’m worried the side roads won’t be cleared in time. Kinda lame.
  20. Uh, disgusting. More torture for southern end of the group. Going to get through this first one though.
  21. I’ll pay attention to that one when the first mess leaves. anyways, I’m skipping the euro tonight. I’ll see whether I’m disappointed or not tomorrow. edit: UK was good again though
  22. Gets us 1.8” which is less than I would have thought.
  23. I would appreciate one more decent snow at home before I return to school for my final semester. Who knows where I’ll end up next winter!
