12" in 60 days is a once a year occurrence?
That does seem a bit high, but I guess if you can slide the goal posts between the maximum 60 days of precip, it seems at least plausable.

3.38" yesterday, another 0.40" so far in the bucket today in Lowell. Heard a report of 10.8" in Cranston, RI.

Sad news. I heard it had to do with the Natick commuter rail accident as well. God bless her family.

damn that sucks man, we just felled a 50' pine that was 10' from our house for this reason, but the unforeseen circumstances of the weight shift caused a ton of settling on the 250 yo house, but the tree is gone, hopefully they total it and you can upgrade...was it worth much?
Given the car shortage, more than I thought, but the same '22 model is about 20% more than I what paid 3 years ago.

I'd be really nervous having that next to my house.
Spoke to my neighbor that owns one, me the other, supposedly they're near the end of life. If one of those lands on my house, it'll be crushed. I'm guessing the weight about 20k#'s each, whereas the Norway spruce is probably around 2-3k#'s.

Truck might be okay, no?
Bent the roll cage on both sides, doors need to be replaced, dented hood, rear fender, windshield is whack, frame might be bent. I really hope it's toast. The body shop said 3-4 months of work. I get $25/day rental coverage for a month.

Snow's used to open up for season pass holders (before my first season pass), but I've AT'd it before. It faces southwest. Someone told me it was the "original" ski area at Waterville.
Anyway, glad you enjoyed your day. We usually hit the White Peaks express most of the day, but after years of skiing the same trails off it, it gets boring, so I find myself going over to Green Peak, or even laps up the tee bar to the top. I noticed there was only one trail closed that day, Tangent, my favorite. Old school, no snow making and from it you can hit Preston's Path (under the old double that hasn't run in years), or periphery.
Next year they upgrade White Peaks with a 6 pack lift, and supposedly in a few years they're supposed to expand terrain east of Green Peak and will have a gondola connecting the village to the mountain.
The one thing I don't care about for Waterville is most of the trails face northeast, so they really don't get much sun until mid/late February, but I guess that probably helps with snow retention.

I’ll be at Waterville on Tuesday for a Gear Day to test next year’s products… never been, looking forward to a foray into NH ski country.
Nice!
Check out Tangent to Preston's Path, and Governor's Run. And if you have some time, check out our little mountain, Campton Mountain. Only about 3 or 4 minutes from 49. It's not open during the week, but we're planning on expanding our snow making over this summer so that maybe we can open up a couple days during the week.

9.5" and still snowing lightly. What an epic day of skiing. No actual measurements, but seemed to be 15-18" at Waterville.

90% ip, snow. 31.6. Radar showing sleet.

feel like l'm straddling the line about 25% snow, 31.7. How does one define sleet? Warmer layer above me seems likely.

back to mostly snow. 31.8
